Okay. Nothing I predicted happened. At all.

While I can believe that Dan is in jail, and Karen is okay, I'm still having a hard time believing that Haley and Nathan's baby is gonna be around for the rest of the show. (Can't be a conincidence they named him James, right?)

So, Karen goes to visit Dan and seethes venom at him. She also spits at him. It was pretty great. Lucas and Nathan decide not to go see him at all. I also like this as well. I'm unsure if he'll actually spend a substantial amount of time in jail. But, since everyone goes their separate ways soon and we don't really need parents around so much, there's hope!

I've been trying to figure out how I feel about Dan and his redemption. He turned himself in, which is good. But then tried to hang himself (thus not having to pay for what he did and taking the easy way out of his feelings), which is bad. Jury's still out. We'll see how I feel going forward, I guess.

You know, I've been harping on the fact that the baby won't make it because they can't have this baby in college. I'm just realizing now that at the end of the episode they all agree to meet at the River Court in four years and always be friends. I'm wondering now if we just skip the next four years. Maybe we start next season with them returning to the River Court and get some flashbacks here and there. That would solve a lot of problems, actually.

But this episode ended so joyously, I'm afraid for what comes next!

Also, yes, I know not every thumbnail needs to be Naley, but they just make me happy!

Can’t believe you’re already done with season 4!! I loveee this finale & Naley is my all time favorite ship

This season finale was a fan favorite, and always registers pretty high I believe. It was the perfect way to wrap up the high school years and put a nice bow on things before this next chapter of the character's lives. The drama came from Dan turning himself in and that story coming to a conclusion, and Karen's life hanging in the balance, but no way were they going to end things on a sour note. And thankfully this time around, the drama wasn't about Naley. You got to see their precious son being born and Nathan and Haley absolutely enamored with him. How funny was Nathan at the party showing off his boy's picture to everyone to see, and getting a glimpse of the crazy obsessive parents that are Naley, lol. I know that babies and kids aren't your thing Dana, but to quote Naley "I hope you like their kid" lol. And yes.... baby James is named after Haley James, but his full name is a representation of all three in Haley, Lucas, and Nathan of course, and it's so fitting and perfect for the Scott Family. I still think it's so funny that you never believed their baby was going to make it and be born, so therefore you really never embraced Naley's pregnancy it seems. I don't think I've seen a reactor so adamant about that before, hehe. I was waiting for you to realize that Naley would have the next generation of Scott boys to carry on the legacy of The Scott Family, and so of course it would be the married stable couple of the show in that role. Don't forget that Karen, Dan, and Deb were all young parents at 18 to little boys, so it's definitely in line with the history of the show. Plus Nathan parallels Dan, so it's only natural that they would constantly put him in similar situations to see how he reacts. Also, a big running theme throughout this show is the dynamic between fathers and sons, so you get to see that continue with Naley's son. When you were worried about Naley being separated in S2 when Haley went on tour, I so wanted to be like "don't worry......Haley comes home, Naley reconcile, survive a school shooting, renew their wedding vows, and have a beautiful baby boy all by graduation" lol. It truly is amazing how far they've come. I hope you enjoy what's in store for S5!!!

Also...never apologize for all the Naley thumbnails, hehe. You know I already told you that you could do them for every single episode if you wanted to, and it would be just fine by me, lol. Seriously though, you picked the perfect one for this episode. I mean...who would ever get tired of looking at the most beautiful family on t.v.? hehe It's such a picture-perfect moment, and that thumbnail captures it beautifully!!!
