Huh. So I just look up the recap of this to see if something was in this episode or the prior one, and I was surprised that a lot of people didn't really like this episode. There were some things I didn't like, but overall, I was really happy with this episode.

Anyway, I really loved the focus on football. We got an important game, and a ton of Smash recruiting. I enjoyed both of those storylines. And what's not to love about Smash showing up with flowers for his mom. I definitely got a little misty eyed over that.

I absolutely loved Eric apologizing to Tim. And when Tim said it was all right, Eric said, 'No, it's not.' I love that he didn't let himself off the hook. This was such a good Eric scene. I also enjoyed his scene with Julie near the end, but the Tim one was stellar.

Things I didn't love as much: The other coach blaming his insane decision to tackle Tim on the field during play on the fact that his wife has three months to live. Why the hell are you on the field and not home with your wife?!? If you were looking for this to excuse your behavior, it doesn't.

Also, I was very worried that Tim and Billy stealing money from ferrett guy, was totally gonna end up in Tim shooting one of them and I did want want to go back down a murder subplot. Thankfully, they steal the cash and leave. But, now we're hiding from a drug dealer.

And I felt pretty meh about the Shelly storyline. But I've been feeling that way for a while now. So, when I write it out, it actually looks like I disliked more than I liked. Lol. But the parts I liked were so good.
