IMPORTANT: Change: Queen of The Hive Reading on Hiatus. (Patreon)

Okay, everyone, it brings me no pleasure whatsoever to make this announcement, but I feel that, for the long-term, this is the right call to make.

As you have no doubt pieces together from the title of this post, my reading of Change: Queen of The Hive is being put on hiatus for the foreseeable future. This is not an easy choice to make, as doing readings in this series has been something I have openly and eagerly tackled for well over a year now, coming up on two. But that is a big part of the problem.

As things stand, it's getting to be too much. The transition from Change to Change: Queen of The Hive was relatively seamless, all things considered, and as a result, It feels to me almost like it has just been one long story. Long, epic, and full of good memories. Hell, the author, Tom117z, has become one of my better friends since then.

But the story is going on for too long and I haven't broken up the process enough. Looking back, I have seen a clear and very noticeable decline in the quality of the general narration. I've been going far more monotone recently, as compared to earlier, resulting in a far less engaging and entertaining reading. You guys deserve far better than this.

To help illustrate why this decision is being made, I want those of you who were around at the time to all look back on and remember my reading of Forgiveness Pending from years ago. Yes, I know, I am actually talking about it in a public, announcement capacity. Well, as you will recall, I stopped that reading after a long time because it was becoming too much. It was a chore, a hassle, and I was also struggling with depression at the time.

While depression is not a factor here, I do not want to push myself to a point that I hate working on this story. And so, I am going to put the reading on hold for the foreseeable future to let my batteries recharge for it. How long will that be? Well, I'll fill in the Monday Tuesday Slot with another story for the time being and we'll see how I am feeling after that.

This does NOT mean that Change: Queen of The Hive is canceled. It just means I need to step back from it for a while. I plan to come back to it at some point and finish it off right. I am very sorry about this, though, and I wish I had had the foresight to better avoid this possibility.

That is all I have to say on this topic for now. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a story to fill in the Monday and Tuesday slot soon. For any of you who can only see my stuff on YouTube, then the remaining chapters of Change: Queen of The Hive will still go through their typical release cycle. The last one will go up this coming Monday, and then the reading will go dark until I am ready to pick it back up.

Again, I am very sorry for this, but I want to make sure that you all get the best reading I can give you. I cannot do that when I am drained of my enthusiasm and energy for a project. You don't deserve a half assed reading.
