Ever since I started cosplaying, I've felt good makeup was the key to a memorable cosplay. The first thing anyone naturally looks at is your eyes/face-- If those don't stand out, your face can get drowned in your own cosplay and forgotten, which is never good!

Over the years, I've been trying to develop my makeup skills. Before, I didn't know what contouring was, and sometimes I wore way too much makeup, other times not enough. Finally, four years later, after watching tutorial after tutorial on Youtube, I'm doing makeup tests with my wigs to help determine what needs to be done to achieve the complete finished look I'm envisioning.

Before I put on this gray wig, I felt like I was wearing WAY too much makeup. Once I had it on, though, I was definitely not wearing enough! I needed to add darker shades in my contouring and my eyes. I also tested out some lip colors because this is a fem! version of one of my favorite characters from my childhood, and am deciding what direction to go in with this cosplay. Which one do you like best?
