Hey gang. This is a recent journal I posted over on my FA account. It details a recent recap of current events that have hindered some of my workflow: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9070989/

And also, I am so sorry about the lack of doodles that I haven't posted that you guys have requested. I have done a very bad job of keeping up with those, or keeping you guys updated with the current state of affairs. I apologize.

I've had a lot to keep up with and haven't managed my time well. But, I also wanted to ask how you guys would feel if I changed up the rewards a little bit. Everything is still going to be the same, but I just feel like I need to approach this differently. I want to make things you guys like so you feel like your getting your subscription's worth.

So I was thinking, how would guys feel that when making your requests, you can mention things like, "I'm not coloring enough," or "have you considered 'such and such'". I just feel like I've been keeping the parameters of the requests and ideas too vague. I could also just be thinking about it too much. But I'm really just trying to make sure I can make my Patreon the best it can be within my own means. How would feel about people hearting your idea so I can see what's the most popular? I guess really this is just a "How's my driving?" kind of a post. I hope to hear some of your feedback so I know how to proceed as the year continues. o/

Sure, I usually don't have much of an opinion, but if I see a comment that sparks my interest I'll ♥ it

A dollar for a sketch at random intervals that have been multiple times a month in the past is just a wee bit too generous, methinks, especially when you have commissions to work on that are probably contributing far more to your financial success with essentially the same ask parameters. At the same time, simply allowing people to say "could we see some of this maybe?" might not be the best solution. A lot of people (myself included) are probably going to keep suggesting the same/similar things based on their preferences, so it becomes a sort of game of "who will Schwoo pay attention to this month?" My personal suggestion? Do a "raffle" of sorts at regular intervals, maybe once every two weeks or something,, where you randomly pick a patron who can, effectively, give you a simple art prompt. Something like a theme, similar to what you suggested. Then, what you do with it is up to you, including how much time you want to spend on it. Then take that person off the list for a turn or two to make sure everybody's ideas get equal time in the spotlight.
