"The Tavern is not an isolated place. Many outer realms manifest in the Tavern's vicinity, offering them a neutral centre. But these portals work both ways, and what threatens the Shield, threatens them all. The frenzied cries of Blood echoed north, and the Ice Leviathans heeded its call. Their principles are death, remembrance, unlife, and silence. Hence it was an unexpected surprise for the Shield to hear them speak of an alliance. But no one dared to face, let alone guide them.
