re: the lines mowed on the pitch, there was a curious one in a Motherwell v Rangers game last month where a player looked offside if you went by them, but the VAR gave it onside. The explanation was that the VAR is calibrated with the halfway and goal lines, and the mowed lines aren't necessarily accurate (i.e. if you have a skelly-eyed groundsman!).
