📢 December is Free, January You Get More And Content Plans Update (Patreon)

Hi Patrons,

I hope you are well and thank you for your continued support. I wanted to update you with some things we will be doing on Patreon and with our content in the coming months.

The headline news for all of you is that we have made the decision to make December free of charge for all of you. In addition to this in January you will all have access to the next tier of content, for example Intermediate Tier Patrons will have access to the Advanced Tier content throughout the month.

We know for so many of you this has been a very difficult year because of the financial climate and we want to give something back as a thank you for your continued support which is never taken for granted. Please know that we’re in a strong enough position to do this and wouldn’t if we couldn’t afford to. I know many of you will still want to pay or give something extra back to us, it’s not necessary honestly, if you really want to do something extra continue screaming from the rooftops about us on social media, to your friends or anyone you think may be interested in what we do. We will make the general public aware of our plans on Monday’s Gameweek 14 review Podcast ahead of November’s start on Tuesday.

This is our Christmas present from us to you. But it should also be noted it’s a promotion, it’s us also making a push to increase the number of Patrons we have in the community as we continue to try and grow.

I should add that the content will remain as close to normal on Patreon throughout December so there will be minimal impact on our output though this may reduce slightly over the busy Christmas period. During the month we will slowly move away from the World Cup coverage and towards the return of the Premier League on Boxing Day. I know many of you have asked for some EFL content as the restart is before the Premier League and for sure there will be some for you either here on Patreon or via our free content.

As said, in January you will all have access to the content at the above tier. We did this last December but felt you would all get more out of this when club football has fully restarted in January. Basic Tier Patrons will have access to all the Podcasts throughout January and Intermediate Tier Patrons will have access to 5 Minutes Added On and additional video content such as Talking Tactics, while for Advanced Tier Patrons there will be more content for yourselves with additional written and behind the scenes content.

Additionally for Advanced Tier Patrons I anticipate having additional free time during the knockout stages of the World Cup so would love to organise as many 1-2-1 Zoom calls as I can during that period. Take advantage of me, DM me and let’s get a call booked in the diary if you would like one! (Please note I will in the first instance have to book in slots during working hours only)

Onto upcoming content…

During the first six World Cup midweek days (November 21st-25th and the 28th) there are games at 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm (UK). I’m sure many of you will want to watch as many of the games as possible and I’m no different so during those 6 days I will be streaming live to everyone on YouTube at 8am (Breakfast with James…?) for half hour with the aim to have an audio version out for 9am. For Advanced and Intermediate Tier Patrons we will replace our regular Podcast schedule with a live game watchalong each day. I can confirm the scheduled games and who will be joining me for the games will be:

Monday 21st: Netherlands v Senegal 4pm BST, Suj & James

Tuesday 22nd: Argentina v Saudi Arabia 10am BST, James & Peter Featherstone (@_FPLteam)

Wednesday 23rd: Germany v Japan 1pm BST, James & Clayton Fernandes (@ClaytsAFC)

Thursday 24th: Portugal v Ghana 4pm BST, James & Nico

Friday 25th: Wales v Iran 10am BST, James & Adam Pritchard (@ThreeFiveWho)

Monday 28th: Brazil v Switzerland 4pm BST, Suj & James

After these dates kick off times are 3pm and 7pm BST and we will revert to a more familiar Podcast content service though I am flexible to the idea of possibly continuing the 8am streams. I’ll decide nearer the time what we’ll do.

In terms of the Fantasy Football aspect of the World Cup we will make a decision on what we cover once we know what the offering will be but are not yet committed to one specific fantasy format.

We are also investigating the possibility of a Live Show in London on Saturday November 26th. I’ve got a visual in my mind of what I’d like to do with the day should we secure a venue but for now I can’t confirm if it will happen but you may want to save the date!
