In a follow up to our Podcast 'Are PL Referees rubbish?' (People's Poll March 2nd), we discuss a meeting that took place between head of PGMOL Mike Riley  and supporters groups back in February.

We find out about some of the mechanics of VAR, the 'clear and obvious' advice given to on field officials, why refs can't be mic'd up, why they don't do interviews, accountability and what makes fans upset such as offside decisions, lack of in stadiums information and the fear over celebrating goals.

Plus, a trip in to the archives as we revisit a Podcast from 2019 (s2 ep58), the first we recorded after the Manchester City & Tottenham Champions League quarter final at The Etihad in 2019 and a reminder of the conversation we had after VAR's first dramatic impact on English football.
