Slack, 20/21 Mini Leagues & Patreon Updates (Patreon)

Hi Patrons,

I hope you are all well. As I'm sure you are aware Suj and I are taking a short break from content and will return on Monday August 17th.

On Saturday evening I will tweet a bit of a thread of some of the stuff I am about to confirm with you and then that's me done until the following Saturday. If you see me on Twitter, Slack or anywhere near a microphone you have permission to shoot me. I will be giving my eyes and my brain a full break so if you reach out and I haven't responded it's not personal, I will get to you next weekend.

This also means I'm likely to miss the launch of FPL, my anticipation is that at the very least there will be price reveals in the next 7 days and I won't be at all surprised to check my phone next weekend to find the game is open.

As promised I'm pleased to be able to announce the plans for the 2020/21 mini leagues and the annual and monthly prizes…

At the time of writing there are 203 Patrons, 
30 at the Advanced Tier
125 at the Intermediate Tier
48 at the Basic Tier

We will give you access to the code for your respective mini league here on Patreon, once entered into the mini league you will be eligible to win the following cash prizes (subject to change)

Advanced Tier
1st = £350, a Planet #FPL goodie bag and an invite on to the Podcast
2nd = £100
3rd = £50
Manager of each month = £50

Intermediate Tier
1st = £175
2nd = £50
3rd = £25
Manager of each month = £25

Basic Tier
1st = £50

We will also set up a mini league for anyone playing SkyFF with an annual prize (TBC) & I will work on a Champions League format to include every Patron into one big Cup competition, similar to what I did for the ChampManFPL Champions League (again prize TBC)

We will introduce a cut off to stop late joiners winning the overall League prize and my initial thought is to implement this at the halfway point of GW19 but I'd welcome your opinions on this either in the comments, on the #suggestions page on Slack or privately via DM if you would prefer.

We're also aware many of you may want to change the Tier you are at during the season and we'll figure out a way of making this work so you are not penalised as well.

I've now spoken to around ten of you from the Advanced Tier on zoom calls and will continue working through this list from the date you joined Patreon. Every call has been a genuine pleasure, I know some of you have felt you are taking up my time, you are, but in a very good way, it's been great getting to know you better.

I also have (what I think is) a great idea for additional video content that I'd like to introduce for Advanced Tier Patrons before the new season around tactics but truth be told I need to test the idea and see if I can make it work. If I can you'll love it, if I can't, apologies in advance!

I'd also be keen to hear about any merchandise ideas you may have, Planet #FPL Shop is a concept I'd like to get off the ground at some point in the near future.
