Happy Saturday everyone, I hope you all have a nice weekend! Here is the art of our recent dessert slime and a question for the week :) I was rewatching some old Naruto recently and I remembered just how much I love the pairing of Naruto and Hinata. I remember as a kid I wanted nothing more than for them to be together lol. Thus, it made me curious to know if you all have a favorite anime or fictional couple? It doesn't have to be an anime; whatever media is fine!

I also want to take this time to say that this Friday's character is going to be another one of my choice. I will be posting a poll tomorrow for next Friday though! I just have an idea that I really want to do that involves a goth girl, so I want to do that character first :P I'm going to try (big emphasis on try haha!) and do two youtube videos this week since I got a head start on the art for them, both of which are characters that two of you patrons suggested. I think they are really fun and unique so I'm excited to finish them! ^_^

My favorite couple would have to be Alto and Hilda from Stella Glow. It’s an old turn based strategy game on the 3DS from 2015 that plays similarly to Fire Emblem. The games OST is fantastic, but with music-based magic being a core mechanic it kinda had to be good lol (Lisette’s second song, Levia is a stand out) Unfortunately, this game sold about as well as BBQ at a Vegan protest so I’ll summarize their relationship as best I can given the 99% chance that no one here played it haha In the beginning of the game, Alto (Protagonist) fights against Hilda (Antagonist). Near the later half of the game, Alto is revealed to be Elcrest, a legendary hero thought to have died in battle centuries ago. Hilda is revealed to have fought alongside Elcrest, and it is strongly implied that she loved him. Centuries in the past, Hilda promised Elcrest that she’d protect the world while he was placed into a magic sleep to recover from his fatal injuries. Elcrest finally wakes hundreds of years later, no longer able to remember anything of his past or even his name. He is given a new name, Alto. Hilda is now regarded as a villain since the truth of the battle has long since faded into legend. It’s not until much later in the game that the true villain is made known and Hilda’s supposedly evil acts are revealed to have been misunderstood efforts to keep her promise to Elcrest to protect the world. She allies with Alto and eventually the truth of their shared past is revealed. After the game ends, if you decide to choose Hilda as your romance option, her and Alto marry and have a child. I love their relationship so much because the idea that for centuries, Hilda’s been protecting the world that the man she loved almost died trying to save is so romantically tragic. Adding to that tragedy is that her work is a thankless task. She’s wrongly branded as the villain for her efforts, since no one could know the truth. Even when her love Elcrest, now Alto, forgot everything they had been through and fought her for doing exactly what she had promised him, she still didn’t waver. So, when Alto regains his past memories, and after they win the battle they’d lost so many centuries earlier…for Hilda to at last be truly reunited with him as his wife, now finally be able to rest and live out the rest of her days with him and their newborn daughter…that shit just gets me right in the feels. Her finally attaining the happiness that she for so long thought was impossible. Maybe it’s cheesy but idgaf. That’s heartwarming as hell and I ain’t ashamed to admit it!

I like your version of this pokemon better, she has more... personality. Favorite fictional couple, me and Zero Two, no seriously though it's probably got to be Sawako and Shouta from Kimi ni Todoke, I think it makes sense that they like each other and why, and I think its a good show that doesn't rush itself or drag out the story. Honestly it's kinda difficult to pick one because a lot of fictional couples are the one that the story is really about and then the bland main character that you're supposed to replace with yourself. Honorable mention to Guts and Casca, pre eclipse of course, if for nothing else than for the song Broken Survivors by Beast in Black.

Haha, BBQ at a Vegan protest- that one got me lol. Let me say that it doesn't matter if someone thinks something is cheesy or not, if you liked it that's all that matters. God knows a lot of the stuff I like probably comes off that way to others, but I don't give a shit lol. I have a friend who is all about stories like what the game sounds like. Anything that involves memories fading or going into the past/future hits them hard and I can see why- that stuff does hit you in the feels! Not sure if you've seen Steins;Gate but that may be an anime/game you may enjoy. Same with one called In Search of The Lost Future. Both of those may have a similar vibe to the game you mentioned. I also gave Lisette's second song a listen and that was really good! Her voice really reminds me of someone and it's bugging me that I can't put my finger on it- I may need to look into it because stuff like that drives me crazy until I figure it out xD It reminded me of the Umineko anime opening (the singer's voice) but I don't think they are the same- I'm just going to look it up! lol

Haha, thank you Skelly! I'm glad you enjoyed how the Alcremie girl came out. Also, you may have missed the memo but me and Zero Two are a thing so...sorry, she's taken lol. Jokes aside, I think I remember you mentioning that anime before- I still need to check it out sometime. While romance animes aren't usually my favorite I like a good one every now and then ^_^
