Hello all! Harloff here. I wanted to give you all the heads up on what the programming will be like here starting May18th and on. We have a lot of exciting things happening and if you have been paying attention to everything going on, it is one of the most incredible time to be a Schmoedown fan at the moment. 

Who isn't excited for Kevin Smith, Chris Jericho and Doug Benson to make their debuts?! Besides the massive free agent signings, trades and faction smack talk, we have TWO major tournaments happening and it will change the landscape of the faction standings. There are still a lot of questions on how to watch them, here is the schedule:

ON TWITCH: (YOU DO NOT NEED A TWITCH ACOUNT TO WATCH AND IT IS FREE)

MAY 18th: Jenn Sterger and Brad Gilmore host a preview special to the upcoming Star Wars tournament. Who are the favorites, what are the key first round match ups? Will there be any big upsets? Join them on Monday the 18th exclusively on Twitch! (Time TBD)

MAY 20th 3PM-5PM PST: JOSH QUEVEDO VS ANDRES CABRERA (Play in game)

The first Star Wars match happens on Twitch LIVE when Andres Cabrera (SWAG) faces Josh Quevedo (The Roxstars) in this qualifying match to see who will be the 8th and final spot in the SW tournament.  

MAY 25th: MATCH 1 STAR WARS TOURNAMENT 3-5PM PST: MATCH TBD

First official match of the tournament begins exclusively on Twitch.

ON YOUTUBE:

JUNE 1st:  10.00 + PATRONS will receive access to the FIRST IG Play in match on Monday June 1st. We ask you to not spoil these matches for the fans before they receive it on Thursday. 

JUNE 2nd: ALL PATRONS will receive access to the FIRST IG Play in match on Monday June 1st. We ask you to not spoil these matches for the fans before they receive it on Thursday. 

JUNE 4th: IG PLAY IN MATCH #1 AIRS TO YOUTUBE TO ALL

JUNE 5th: PLAY IN MATCH # 2 AIRS TO YOUTUBE TO ALL

We will be going back to TWO matches a week to air the tournament. Patrons will have early access to the entire episode and special interviews.

EXHIBITIONS:

Because of the tournament, we will resume airing Exhibitions once a month. Here is how the schedule will go for Exhibitions:

10+ Patrons will receive the exclusive Exhibition match in the middle of the month. 

5.00 + Patrons will receive the exclusive Exhibition match one week later.

ALL PATRONS will receive the exclusive Exhibition match one week later.

All the exhibition matches that have aired so far (minus the LOTR match which airs today) will be available to ALL Patrons today.

The Championship exhibition and Jurassic Park matches ONLY will be released public on Youtube as we would like to give the audience materials on the two weeks leading up to the IG tournament. 

There will be other updates and exclusive content here. Thank you for being loyal fans and patrons. You are all the lifeblood of the league!

Thanks for the update Kristian! Can not wait for these tournaments to begin! Can we get an update on patreon once we have a time for the Star Wars pre show with Brad and Jenn? Also, wanted to say I’m really happy you decided to air the Jurassic Park match to the public. That’s definitely one everyone should get to watch. Keep up the awesome work. I’ve never been more excited to be a fan of the Schmoedown!

Will the sw tournament in the future or at some point ever be loaded on to YouTube or patreon. I hope it eventually makes it on there so it will be easier to access and group with all the other star wars matches. I only use twitch to support schmoedown related things. Can never watch live on there because I dont have a desktop and can only wat h on my phone app wit h constantly freezes, I cant participate in murder trivia or live shows on there because of how bad it freezes. I will support and watch regardless. Just disappointing and frustrating having to watch on multiple platforms especially with twitch being sucky. I hope this doesn't sound trolly or like yelling. Just trying to express my worry and frustration and will support no matter the decision.

Will it be possible to watch the twitch matches after they air live? Reason is mainly because of the time difference, I normally watch the matches the following morning after they air live

I'm pretty sure its available on twitch after it airs. But I only use twitch for schmoedown/sen stuff so I'm not 100% on how it all works

Man, people need to stop complaining. They can't please and cater to everyone because someone has issues with an app or doesn't have a desktop. This is reason I left the Facebook group. So much whining and bitching about EVERYTHING. Deal with it.

Yeah it's easy to find and use but if you have to watch from a phone you might have a hard time watching live..

I downloaded and watched backstage on twitch yesterday, worked pretty well and liked the format. I’ll take schmoedown in any form ! Thanks !

Are we going to get notifications about the Twitch matches like we do for the YouTube matches? I ask because I've never used Twitch and have no interest in it, but I do want to keep up with the show.

If you mean via the patreon thats on them, if you make an accoutn and follow a twitch channel you can set notifications just like youtube.

The SEN twitch has a Vods page much like YouTube's creator videos page. Most likely there, if not I'm sure they will repost them on YouTube.

Not a fan of the Twitch decision, but its not like it matters what I like. I just wish we could keep all the shows on the same platform. We already have to bounce YT channels to catch past seasons, come on Patreon for the cool fun exhibitions, now we are also going to have go on Twitch to find at lest this upcoming tourney. It'd be nice if they could all be compiled in one location so we can rewatch and point new comers to catch up.

Thank you so much for using Twitch. A great business decision and so much easier to keep track. With YouTube constantly not giving notifications as SEN and Schmoedown randomly not fitting into their algorithm using a platform that gives notifications by simply clicking follow helps a lot.
