IMPORTANT CHANGE:  THE TOP 5 TEAMS IN THE RANKINGS (excluding champions) ARE PROTECTED:

1. KORRUPTION 2. THE FAMILY 3. SHAZAM 4.WHO'S THE BOSS 5. THE ODD COUPLE

If a manger chooses one of the players from any of these teams they will automatically get their teammate for the next round pick.

Originally we contemplated with protecting teams 6-10, that is no longer the case. If a manager wishes to keep a current team together ie: Time Machine and you choose Jeannine for the first round pick, Ethan would have to be available for them to draft in the next round in order to keep them together.

This only really impacts Time Machine imo. Even though Tom should definitely be a first round pick, it would have been a waste to use the 2nd round pick on Video drew when she’ll almost surely be available in the 3rd, 4th, or maybe even 5th. Josh Macuga likely won’t play much this season, if at all with his super secret show. Paddington 2, you should be able to get them individually in the 2nd and 3rd round regardless, if you want to keep them together. Same thing for crimson fury as for loony bin, Tim Franco is IG and an out of towner, so I don’t envision him going in the early rounds. This makes Jay Washington’s pick very interesting as taking Time Machine seemed like a slam dunk, not just for familiarity, but their flat out skill would be foolish to pass on even if you’re trying to refresh the faction.

This is gonna make Jay's decision difficult. Does he go with his heart or his brain. Erwin is logically who he should take first, but Jeanine is who he seems to enjoy managing the most.

Well the Family and Shazam are the only now Factionless teams up for grabs that's for sure

I don't like this decision. I think this is going to lead to those 5 teams being almost guaranteed to go right off the bat because it guarantees getting two great players right off the bat. As opposed to drafting someone like Oyama ot Ethan and risk not having a good teammate available to pair with them in round 2. Also, if the Wildberries break up, then there will be HELL TO PAY!!

This sucks because it means the loony bin is no longer protected. I hope it works out that they stick together.

If they had stuck with the top ten teams then this draft wouldn't have made any meaningful changes to the roster. Now some tough decisions will have to be made for some of the top managers. This is going to make for an interesting season.

How is who's the boss on that list of top 5 teams if Bateman (and therefore Reilly) are already spoken for, as Bateman is a champion? Did I miss something or is Dagnino going to potentially lose them?

Teddy, the ranking really only affects Reilly. Since Bateman is champ and Dagnino automatically keeps him, and since WTB cannot be broken up then Dagnino automatically gets to keep Reilly as well. If WTB was not in the top 5 then it's possible another manager gets Reilly. But as things stand, Dagnino is assured to keep both. Unless he decides to trade somebody.

WTB being on this list is exactly the reason Dagnino can hold onto them. He can keep Ben as a Champion, but it is only cos WTB are protected that he gets Reilly too

Correct me if I’m wrong but this means Tom Dagnino can keep everyone in his faction from this year and since he won that three way match he gets the first pick so could be theoretically add Mike Kalinowski and then push the sit out button for the rest of the draft???

No. Since he has his faction protected, that is his first four round picks. So Dagnino picks for the first time in round five
