A note from our new Monthly Patreon Article author, Tim Sim!

 --

Hello Schmoedown fans!

This is Tim Sim. Although you may know me as one of the writers for triviasd.com when it comes to previewing matches, I am happy to announce–thanks to the generosity of Patreon manager Emma Fyffe–I will be taking over for doing the monthly articles for the Schmoedown Patreon.

This is a series of articles that I would like to call “The Insight,” a deep look into the new trivia sport that I enjoy watching and covering for the last two years. I would first like to thank Tom Maston for all the work and the writings he has done for Patreon when it comes to looking into the Schmoedown, and wish him the very best in his future endeavors. What I aim to do is look between the lines of every match, every competitor, every storyline, and everything behind-the-scenes to give you a truly inside depth of the Movie Trivia Schmoedown.

The inspiration for this series of articles to come every month comes from the former in-depth boxing show “The Fight Game with Jim Lampley” where like him, I can finally give the coverage that is possible here than on the website. However, what I also aim is to remain as neutral as possible and cover all sides unlike Lampley. This is something that is exciting for me in terms of being given an opportunity find insights for “The Insight” and cover even more exciting storylines that will enrich the mind and provide food for thought for every patron. My satisfaction as a Schmoedown writer comes from discovering stories in both perspectives as a sport and a part of life. I thank Emma for giving me this opportunity, and I look forward to giving you the first topic I will cover at the end of this month on “The Insight".

Awesome Tim! Looking forward to it. PS. I think you meant "Trivia Sport", not Trivial Sport-- we all agree MTS is far from trivial ;-)
