Hi!

It's time to update the devlog again. And this time I have a big change in gameplay planned.

As I said before, I originally planned to make a game with RPG elements. Later I realized that it would be too difficult for a single developer with two kids and working three jobs. I started to simplify the gameplay by removing the RPG elements and making the game more casual. But as it turned out, the gameplay became very boring. Many of my followers wrote to me about it.

I thought a lot about how to make the gameplay more interesting. Alas, so far I haven't managed to come up with anything good. 

I decided to change the course of the game's development at this point. I'm not going to come up with any gameplay elements and features right now. I'm just going to create the World!

I've decided that it might be best to create the World of this game first, and populate it with NPCs. For now, let the NPCs have standard template behaviors. And I'll still be creating size-difference images for cut-scenes on weekdays.

Size-difference images will still be the main feature of the game. Over time, there will be many more images, including in existing cut-scenes. Just a reminder that creating each image is a complex and time-consuming job. Please be patient.

Today I am removing the public demo of the game with the old gameplay. The new public version now has "prototype" status and, for now, only three small locations. Later, when I add more locations and NPCs to the game, I will update the public demo as well. The working build of the game, which has a lot more content, is still available to paid subscribers on Patreon and Boosty.

The working build will be updated frequently as before. Soon our old size-difference images will be added there, as well as images with anime heroines. These images will be in the form of various Easter eggs.

I want to say right away that the images created this week have not been added to the working build yet. Perhaps my next images will also be added to the game not immediately. Please be patient. I have very little free time. I will definitely, in time, add all images.

For now, in today's build, all NPCs have standard template behavior and minimal images for full-blown cut scenes. And all labyrinth levels have been removed. Maybe they'll still appear in the future, but I'll be thinking about how to make these levels un-boring.

Long term plans are to come up with quests, storylines, and other gameplay elements. But that will be after the game world is more or less finished.
