5$ Patron Pal Steering Poll (Patreon)

First Question

So after intense deliberations (playing Golf With Your Friends) with our UI Artist TheChicMonster, we're almost done concepting the new UI. This means I'll have what it takes to make the UI update probably within a month.

The UI update will be paired with an Itch.io and Steam launch, as well as a few other things once any bugs get shaken out at the time. Making a first impression is important and having the crappy UI I made stick out was... not my favoured approach.

But the UI update would necessarily take time away from chapter 2's development. And that means I'm asking my lovely patrons (non-lovely patrons can also vote) to make the call on what I should do.

Option 1: Make the UI update ASAP
What you'd expect, as soon as I get the last prototype for the UI update I code it in and release it. Chapter 2 gets pushed back a bit.

Option 2: Make chapter 2's introduction first
Chapter 2's intro comes out first, and the UI update afterwards.

Option 3: Roll chapter 2's intro and the UI update into the same update.
Basically do both at once.

Second Question

Slitted Eye has a bunch of stuff lying around that you, the player, can examine to get lore and silly jokes delivered directly to your eyeballs. But in addition to mainlining comedy, you can also mainline patron-pal names or ideas!

The above* are some concepts Koops has come up with for what kind of stuff we'll be making for Slitted Eye that the player can examine. Magazine covers, comic books, VHS tapes (the game takes place in the 90's) and possibly video game cartridges (Charlotte owns a Sega Genesis), that sort of thing, will be in the game.

We want to take ideas for these from patron pals! So you 5$ types get to vote on how we should do it.

Option 1: Everyone, even the public, can submit ideas and Koops picks the ones she likes
No guarantees she'll make the stuff you want but everyone gets to throw ideas in.

Option 2: Patrons can get their names on the things
"Dr. Mutantstein Illustrated by [patronname]" for patrons who want the spots.

Option 3: Patrons 1$ and above can submit ideas and Koops will pick the ones she likes
Kinda like option 1 but more exclusive

Option 4: Patrons 5$ and above can submit ideas and Koops will pick the ones she likes
Even more exclusive!

Option 5: Patrons who have donated a total of 100$ or more over this patreon's lifetime can submit ideas for Koops, and she picks the ones she likes.
Good for you long-haulers.
