Patreon Has Screwed Up Real Bad (Patreon)

Hi everyone.

We got some really annoying news from Patreon last night. Their email reads:

"An issue with a payment partner is causing a slightly higher-than-normal number of your patron payments to be declined by their banks. We've traced the increased declines back to payments system upgrades required by one of our processing partners. Patrons might see some payments declined while changes take effect."

This is, of course, some very amateur hour bullshit and a huge inconvenience for us and for you. If you are having issues with your subscription, they recommend doing the following:

1. Contact their card issuer to confirm the charge is valid and retry that card
2. If the retry does not work, try a different payment method. Patrons can edit their payments in their "Settings", under Billing History.

It goes without saying that we are furious about this and we're hoping it doesn't massively screw things up for you and for us, please don't hesitate to stay in contact with us about any difficulty you're having with your subscription. We'll get through this Ted-level nonsense together.
