Looks realistic and not overdone, great model there. Personally I like 'basic'. I've noticed a trend lately of d&d mini modelers taking the Warhammer approach and adding completely unnecessary bits and bobs to a model and unrealistic proportions to armor making them look buffoonish and cartoonish. This model (and all of your Ravenloft models so far) look like what I would expect and imagine the npc's would actually look like. So perhaps 'basic' was actually a compliment?
