Taking 2-week break at the start of January/2022. (Patreon)

Hey guys, just giving everyone here a heads up that I'll be taking a relatively extended break after my last post of the year on December 31st. 

I've been doing this for over 27 months straight, with only a handful of weeks off in that time. However, I'm not complaining about that. I get paid to draw, and not just draw but drawing almost whatever I want thanks to you guys making it so I don't have to be tied down by commission work. That's amazing and I'm always grateful for it.

But I can't lie and say I'm not feeling burnt out recently. A lot of stuff has happened in my life in the past month or so. Some of it just busy work, like preparing my house for Thanksgiving with a bunch of family members. Some of it really tough, like ending a four-year relationship and  basically losing the person who motivated me to work. Then this time last week I thought I might lose my entire Patreon page. And when those those things all start to overwhelm me, it makes me fall behind on work or even just not feel like drawing. 

And boy am I behind. When I first started Patreon, I was a month ahead of what you guys were seeing. I'd show you all previews of pinups you wouldn't see for months. Now? I finished the last pinup for today five minutes before posting it. Next week's Total Drama pages? They'll probably be finished an hour before my $10 patrons see them. This is due to a bunch of days where I either couldn't find time to work, or I couldn't find the energy/motivation to work.

So I just need time after this month to recharge my batteries. I know some people applaud how much work I put out, how many people support me on here, and that's great. But it doesn't mean it's easy to do two fully colored, multi-panel comic pages every single week + a bunch of pinups and additional comic pages too. I do it cuz it's legitimately fun to draw, fun to see you guys' responses, and fun to get hype together for what pic/comic is next. But I have to stop being a workaholic for once and take some time to just relax.

Due to this break, next month will consist of two weeks: four new Dragonball comic pages + Overwatch/My Hero updates + Patron Requests (which I'll probably still take during my days off). Be aware of this when figuring out if you'll repledge, and I completely understand if you don't. Thank you all regardless if you've ever supported me with your hard earned money and your kind words to my wacky proportions.
