Alright so... here's the thing. (TL;DR at the end)

It's been a while already that I've realized that I've been way too ambitious with AT19. When I first started working on it, I didn't realize that it was way too big of a video for someone to animate all by themselves like me. I tried to stay positive during the whole process but I have to admit it now. It is way too much.

Now I'm definitely not saying that the video is cancelled, and in all honesty I am way tired of delaying it.  But I thought of something.

So the big issue is that when I look at a scene I'm going to expect to be able to do the animation for it in a day but then it end up taking around 3 to 4 days. This isn't good at all. My solution to this is simple. The beginning of the video is going to be as I first expected it. You're gonna see pretty much all the girls chilling in the club and talking with each other, fully animated. This part is almost 100% complete, so I have no reason to change it. This whole part together is gonna be way more talking animations that I've ever done in any other video so far.

However, when Fable, the host, comes in to reveal the winner it's gonna be only still pictures from there with sounds, similar to what I did at the end of Hotel Intimacy (Excluding the sex scenes which are also fully animated as usual). I think that this way we're still going to have a good narrative of the whole situation, and it's gonna take me way less time to do pictures than to do animation for this part.

At first I truly intended to animate the whole thing. Because I really thought that I could do it in no time. But clearly I underestimated the complexity of the scenes. Sometime I expect to pend a day to fully animate a scene but then After 2 days I only did 1/3 of it. And I swear it's been a very long time now that I've been working pretty much all day every day to make as much progression on this video as I could but it still feels like it's not gonna be enough. So I have to admit it. I underestimated the time it would take to make a video this big and I will do everything I can to not do this mistake again in the future.

Now I love animating, and I hope you guys don't think I'm doing this because I'm "too lazy" to finish it all. I swear I had the intention of doing it, but I wanna move on from that video that is the recap of 2019. I wanna start building 2020. I wanna do more stuff for you guys. I wanna introduce more of the world. But most importantly I wanna stop making you guys wait. I hope you understand the decision. And I will see you with A Terrible 2019 as soon as possible.

TL;DR
I underestimated the time it would take for me to do A Terrible 2019. I don't wanna make you guys wait anymore, so a part of the video is gonna be still pictures with sounds like I did at the end of Hotel Intimacy. There are still going to have more animated content than in any other video I did so far. Sorry for all the troubles I caused.

Just wanted to say that I totally understand, man. I think it's a pretty common occurrence with a lot of artistic endeavors. First, you go for big air (or it might not even feel like it at the time, just what seems like a slightly bigger step up), and then the project inevitably asks to be trimmed back. Except the position you're in is that you have an audience while your whole process is taking place, not just at the finished product, so *wipe sweat off brow*. Still, I don't think the changes will make any difference to the big strengths of your style. IMO, your work stands out because you always get across a ton of passion in your sexy-time scenes. Not to say that the in-betweens aren't important, just saying that at least for me, the change to still frames won't change my opinion at all.

It's never an easy thing to admit that you've over-extended yourself. As much as I enjoy your supplemental comics, I've no doubts the narrative scenes will work as still frames.

Please Don’t over exert yourself

It's all good man we don't want you to burn out on this so do what you need to do

I agree with the above sentiments, you realized the scope of work necessary to do what you wanted and realized it was going to take too long. Its not that you couldn't do it, its that the timeframe was beyond what you wanted. I think this whole thing was a great learning experience for you, and also an exercise in immense frustration for which i feel bad. But now you know what doable within a timeframe of 2 or 4 months and the amount of work necessary to get there. As for how you are producing the final product, i cannot wait to see it, and i find your solution rather elegant. In the future, for A Terrible 2020 maybe, I would be ok with seeing a final product like that again, if you decide you want to go that route. So TLDR; im sorry about how much stress you put yourself under, and we totally understand. you tried something and learned from it. as always thank you for being honest, and we look forward to seeing what you do next

Works of art and beauty take time, most people are understanding and realise these things take time.

Hey man no rush take your time.

With something this size you should try doing it in two parts, this way once the first part comes out you won't be as rushed for the second part since it was in the works!

Nothing wrong with being ambitious, looking forward to seeing what you've made :)

BTDT, in fact I'm going through it right now with my own project. It's all good, man.

I mean with everything going on in the world today I am ready to discount ALL of 2020. So take ALL the time you want and make 2021 the year of introductions. Its all cool in school, bro! B-)
