If we remove Daryl integrating into the Claimers, this is one of my least favourite episodes on the show. As to why Daryl cowered, he is not a leader. He has never been one. And while he prefers to go solo, he does not go against the superior command in a group. And the Claimers are an organised group, even if strange. When I told you I was glad you'd finally met Abraham, I meant you'd REALLY met him. Very entertaining. Eugen-ius too. His monotonous style of speaking is jaw-dropping. I got a question - which episode do you find more profound and more unnerving; Pretty Much Dead Already (s2 e7) or The Grove (s4 e14)? "Pretty Much Dead Already" is the episode that revealed Sophia to have died and become a walker. "The Grove" shows Carol having to kill Lizzie after she killed her sister and posed a direct threat to Judith.

They're an interesting bunch for sure 😄 Both episodes are profound and shocking. S2e7 was the first taste of what the show is actually like and so it came as a big surprise to us, but s4 e14 is the most messed up. So if we had to choose the most disturbing episode, s4 e14 wins by a landslide. Which episode would you choose?

I would also choose s4e 14. But what about Carol's luck? She's where kids go to die.
