Sincerest apologies for the camera issues in this one. Our camera decided to have a stroke and we didn't notice the focusing during the reaction 😢...We were pretty heavy handed on the editing because of it. 

But besides that, we are really excited to see what this series is all about!!  We were highly intrigued from what we heard, and definitely still are after watching this first episode. Sorry's in advance to your ears and our microphone. 😅

This show is excellent. You should absolutely check out Bly Manor and Midnight Mass afterwards. They're all by the same director and feature a lot of the same actors and are all excellent and varying levels of creepiness. Hill House is the one with the jump scares.

SOOOOO pumped for this. I will say that, should you choose to continue onto some of Mike Flanagans other works, Hill House in my opinion is by far the scariest of his series. I think Mike enjoys a bit of horror with a lot of heart and story to them.

Also, no spoiler but technically this show is fantastic. If you see some really long continuous shots, pay attention. Also worth paying attention to the backgrounds, the framing is very deliberate.

This was a great reaction. Glad you are doing this one and that you are enjoying it. There are other sister shows such as Bly Manor, Midnight Mass and The fall of the house of Usher which are all also excellent. I wouldn't back to back watch them. But might be worth thinking about adding them in future polls. Hope you have a lovely day

You're going to love this, a lot of people don't tend to watch Horror and only view it as "boo scary, me no likey" but this show does what horror is supposed to do. Create a memorable character driven story with scares along the way.

Wait is this actually happening? As a person who is an absolute chicken when it comes to horror and i still have to check the corners of my rooms for anything that my sleep paralysis might misinterpret with cloudy eyes... all i can say is that this series is an AMAZING series, and this show specifically is my absolute favorite "Scary show" content because the scares are not there to just scare you without any kind of substance to it... the show uses the fear and dread and unknown and eerieness to tell a beautiful story about this family and its characters are very well defined. you're gonna love this series... oh and , it's a show that shows does a lot of flashbacks to give different answers, so call out your theories. it's good AoT training :P

Haylee, if you both use Windows PC to watch this, I sincerely suggest you to get the Dolby Atmos for Headphones App from windows store, its is couple of bucks only, but When you watch Netflix series, use the Netflix app on Windows, select 5.1 channel audio, and use the Dolby app enhancement on the sound output device. If you are on Mac, use Safari for Netflix, with Boom 3d extension and boom 3d app. Its not as good as Dolby Atmos app on Windows but still a lot better than 2/2.1 audio selection.

Whoa!! How did I miss this for two whole ass days. As a fan of "Scary" stuff, this show was a great watch. I would recommend some of Mike Flanagan's other shows if you do end up liking this one. Oh, and yes the older sister was Esme from Twilight.
