one thing i will point out that most people forget about demons, is that your memories kinda vanish when you become one. and the stronger you are, the less you remember about your life. so it's not that the demons are regretting their actions because they've been killed, it's BECAUSE they've been killed, that their memories start flooding back, and they get their humanity back for a brief moment before they die not to mention being a demon forces your body to kinda crave destruction, so we can't really blame the people who get turned. we can blame the demon they become, though. but ultimately, Muzan is the one who's fully conscious of what he's doing, and he still does it. like Tanjiro said before, "he's a true demon".

no problem! and yes, beauty alongside tragedy is the entire theme, it works so well in the demon slayer universe. i think it's common practice to separate the human they were from the demon they are now, that's all although that can't be said for everyone lmao you guys seem really good at catching this stuff though! lovin' the reactions! <3
