Yeah, one of the few movies I've gone to the cinema twice to see. The sound design is almost a character in this film. Can't wait for Dune 2, and presumably your reactions.

Just a bit of information regarding Paul's visions. Paul's ability is so powerful that he can see multiple possible futures. Because he can see multiple futures, he has the ability to learn from futures that won't ever exist. It's how he saw a future where Jamis was his friend and taught him valuable lessons. It's an extremely powerful ability.

Great pick up on Duncan taking out a bunch of Sardaukar. In the book he takes out 19 before he finally goes down... He was the baddest dude in the land. But he tells Paul that Gurney the guy played by Josh Brolin would beat him "six out of ten times if they fought" so Duke Played by Oscar Issac actually had Paul trained in hand to hand by the best, Then you top it on the Bene Gesserit by Lady Jessica well you see how formidable Paul became..... Also the thing you two were wondering about the having all girls the Bene Gesserit could manipulate their bodies so they could decide on the sex of their children she only had Paul out of her extreme love for Duke Leto. I love this version so far. Only part I wished they showed how close Jamis and Paul became you touched on it when you said wasnt that the guy from Pauls visions. Denis Villeneuve doesn't put out bad movies........ If you two get around to it check out Prisoners 2013, Sicario 2015 Blade Runner 2049 2017 but Watch the first Blade Runner 1982....... One last thing Ill say it again put the subtitles on and you wont miss a thing in any of these reactions. Its really cool that you guys picked up on some of the really in depth stuff from this movie and boy its a deep movie.... 11-3-23 is supposed to be the release date for Dune part 2!!!

Love all of this!! We'll definitely add every single one of these movies to our list, we were so impressed with this fillm. Seriously cannot wait for the next one! That vision towards the end and the reveal of Paul being behind the mask blew our minds. Amazing.

I joined just for this reaction! One quick point on Jamis, who Paul saw helping him in a vision: Jamis says "I will show you the ways of the desert", and in the end, he did, in a sort of kill-or-be-killed sense. So Jamis did help Paul, and teach Paul, just not in the benevolent manner he saw in the vision.

Dune is based on novels (6 books total). I also recommend reading books. Dune and Interstellar are really special sci-fi movies.

Brand new Patreon here from Band of brothers. This was a fun watch! Dune 2 will not disappoint. Off topic I highly recommend The Pacific, it’s a sibling mini series of Band of Brothers by HBO.

Just catching up on this now, you two are great 🙂 The spice harvester rescue is probably my fav sequence in this film, part 2 has some great moments. I love that in hindsight, when Paul drops by the harvester "I recognise your footsteps, Old Man" isn't just repeating his line to Gurney (who is coming to retrieve him back to the Ornithopter) but he's also talking to the sandworm that's rapidly approaching. Shai-Hulud = Old Man of the Desert. 🖤

Hey Haylo, hey Kiss, I was happy to find this reaction that I hadn't seen before. I saw this movie twice in Cinemas, i never do that but it was just too amazing in terms of image, sound design, music, everything. I would absolutely love to see you react to the second one, the two amazing sweet people that you are but that is exactly why I have to be honest and say it, you need to go watch the second one in the cinemas, even if you only do afterwards a "second watch "reaction (unless you can react to it and then go to the Cinema to watch it a second time. I say this because it might have been the single most amazing visual and sound experience I have ever had with a movie, you shouldn't waste this opportunity to experience it. Lots of love from the other side of the this planet which is not only sand and not only ocean. You two are gems!
