Haha 111 is one of my favorites, fun little note about the duck squad. The one shown all the way on the left is based on Darkwing Duck.. It was probably before your time but it was a Disney Donald Duck spinoff cartoon from the 90s where Donald Duck was just Batman for some reason ;D

And with 48 weeks a year the length of catching up to the One Piece series will just be.... about the equivalent of the time it takes to complete post secondary education. Gotta calculate the Netflix anime+Live Action adaptations reactions releaseing at that point. Me personally theres a very blatant production change at the opening of what's considered the second half of the series, that by the time they reach it will have some sort of universally agreed upon alternative. The producers know when it's remade they're going to fix the style of repeating as much as humanly possible as slow as possible, there are constant examples of time collapsing with them dragging out moments that are supposed to be short , like if you think the big slomo cliffhanger in this arc is bad now, it's essentially in fast forward compared to what they started doing later . Feel really sorry for guys needing to storyboard fresh manga into half hour blocks as fast and as often as they did back in 2012. I wonder if the Game of Throne's fans got/are getting a similar experience when the show caught up to the books.

I love how Oda constantly darkens the screen when characters appear but since his characters are so unique you can tell who they are immediately. You immediately can tell it is all miss Sunday saving Luffy before the camera turns on her face and makes the 'don' sound. The 'Don' sound is usually made during a reveal, I don't know if it is used in media outside of anime. But if you hear something impressive or shocking happened.

I can see why Chaka would try to protect the country who for him is the king. After all a wise ruler can make a kingdom great. I mean what would you give to protect a wise and benevolent king who could bring peace and prosperity to your home?

I'm going through the manga again just because that's how I first encountered this story and I'm sentimental. And when I got to the part where they reveal the X under the wrappings I literally thought "I cannot wait until H&K get here." And yes, there are many more moments just like that I'm looking forward to :)

Just how many episodes have you watched in that binge? xD Vivi's plan would have worked out if she rushed towards the rebels instead of just standing on their way so close to Alubarna, but that's how Oda wanted it and who are we to question his decisions :D
