LA Garp and anime Garp are very different indeed, but I liked what they did to Garp in the LA. The things he did and said in the LA are pretty much matching him in the anime/manga, maybe except that he sent Mihawk for Luffy, but the rest was fitting to him and was a nice storytelling to keep Coby included in the series.

I don't think I ever saw the parallels from Luffy, Zoro and Sanji to the dinosaurs they encountered on Little Garden, but it is a nice little detail to make them match together like this.

You two are going to love Little Garden but you're going to love the next island more. Also, I love Garp so much. I really liked his live action version too but this Garp the Fist is just the best.

I dont know if you kinda have realize this yet ... but at this point you can start to tell that One Piece is not "just" about Luffy and his crew story and adventures... it's also about many other characters like Coby and Helmeppo journey's and that's why it has so many episodes, slowly but surely it will continue to tell and expand on characters everyone ends up enjoying... and when you finally catch up you'll end up realizing that you actually want more episodes 😜 and 1000 were not enough 🤣🤣🤣

Such a true statement..... its always so funny to me when people reasoning for not starting it because its too long. However once they do in fact watch it and get close to catching they almost always so oh no ive caught up or wait threres not 300 more episodes.... Saying One Piece is too long is like saying water is too wet.

Exactly. I once saw someone say One Piece is "too long to tell a story." They were clearly ignorant that it is MANY stories. Every person and every place has many stories, in a combined tapestry woven into One Piece.

Fun fact, Nami's voice actress had temporary maternity leave around this arc (9 eps; 70-78). And even though I've seen One Piece dozens of times with reactors, this is the very first time the new voice registered to me right from the start. I've never noticed it before, I only read about it after the fact. Now I can't unhear it.

I've seen the first 300 something episodes of One Piece like a dozen and a half times, and somehow you guys on your first watch through keep finding new ways for me to appreciate One Piece. I never once put together that the T-rex didn't use it's arms like Sanji or the Stretched neck of the Branchiosaurus being like Luffy. You guys have done this for me on a dozen other occasions as well. Thank you <3
