We have already seen one of the millions of titans inside the walls back in season 1 ep 25 in the after credits scene when their was a crack in the wall after the battle of Stohess district. So we may assume that titans being dressed in clothes in the historical drawings was just an artistic form similar to the ancient Greek or Roman art

You may have not seen it but Paradis Island is an upside down Madagascar while the Marleyan continent is upside down Africa. You can see it on the map when Grisha's father tell the History of the Eldians. Their World Map is basically ours but upside down.

Another possibility was that Reiss was a real name of another family of lords, but they were secretly swapped into power by the first King Fritz of the walls. Then they just started naming random puppet kings as Fritz to keep the people thinking that everything was normal. If a random new regional lord family (Reiss) popped up up out of nowhere, that would raise questions for some people that the true royal family and the interior police would prefer to avoid.

Reiner: "Ymir, wait you can read these letters" the herring can in season 2 in the castle has a whole new meaning now when you realise the herring can was the eldian or marleyan language from outside the walls and only outsiders could read it. Either reiner 1. pretended he couldnt read it so to not reveal his identity to ymir or 2. couldnt read it at that time if he was in his scout personality. Even the smallest of things have meaning in this show. Another fun fact about the herring can i can tell you in season 4

In the beginning of the show, Marley sent the Colossal, Armored, Female and the *Leprechaun titans to Paradis. Behind stayed the Beast, *Backpack and 1 unknown titan behind. Paradis had the Founding titan. Grisha had the last titan power. Ymir took Leprechaun but it was returned later. End of season 3, Paradis has 2 powers with Eren, Colossal with Armin, and Annie is captured and frozen. Like always. Many sides to the story and then there’s the truth

The Jaeger family story is so sad. I really feel for each and every one of them. You can even hear & see the absolute desperation in Grisha's father's recounting of the Eldian/Marlean "history". Like a shaking animal hiding in the corner of a cage after seeing its own daughter get cut down. Completely incapable of protecting itself or its kin. None of these people deserve to live and die in such tragedy. Except that asshole that killed Grisha's sister with dogs. He didn't suffer enough.

Great episode and good idea to rewatch it! Bert, Annie & Reiner all know they are Eldians as well, but they're basically child warriors sent by Marley as heroes on a righteous mission. When Armin asks Bert if the people of the walls were a devil race, he says no, but that he still has to fulfill his duty and kill them all.

Here's a rundown of the 9 Titan, without spoilers, in the order they appear. And their current last known user 1. The Colossal Titan. Big and mean, can explode using steam. Armin posseses this titan 2. The Armored Titan. Self explanatory. Reiner possesses this titan 3. Erens Titan (it's name and abilities are unknown) 4. The Female Titan. This Titan can use the abilities of all other titans to a lesser extent (like the Armored Titans Hardening) it's user is almost always extremely intelligent. Annie possesses this Titan 5. The _____ Titan. Ymirs Titan. Very agile, and tiny. The name is not known. Ymir possesses this Titan. 6. The _____ Titan. Backpack guy, it's a quadrapedal Titan. Thats all that's known. It's user is not known. 7. The Beast Titan. A large hairy Titan, it's abilities seem to be the ability to control other titans, and has a very strong arm. Zeke, Erens half brother posseses this titan. 8. ??? 9. The Founding Titan. The strongest Titan of them all. Eren possesses this Titan currently.

2 things: the part about annie's titan on what it can do EXACTLY is not explicitly said and is conjecture at this point (not to mention that if u know "how" that happened, and the fact that the marleyans owned 7 titans but not the 2 that eren has) then that is also a micro spoiler as to "why these ones only" (im being very vague here, so try to read between the lines lol)) , so i'd at least preface it with "it seems like, or allegedly" or "based on what we've seen in terms of what annie looks like or can do , we've seen her do X Y and Z so far, not sure the full extend of their range or if she can do other stuff. second: i think it's safe to add for the founding titan that it's the most powerful one of them because it seems to have some sort of control over all titans, which is what they refered to as the coordinate, and at the very least we know it can control other titans (we saw eren tap into it conveniently earlier and protect mikasa when hannes died to the female titan, which is Dinah Fritz) but we also know that the founding titan has the power to brainwash and affect memories (deleting them, and readding them or altering them) : because 100 years of memory wipe + historia kept losing and getting her memories back to freyah, and then not to mention that they completely forgot)

I mostly remembered this episode for the horribly tragic death of Grisha's sister Faye. 😢 In a show with tons of horrible and gruesome deaths, this one always stood out to me, despite the fact that we don't even really see it happen.

I have watched a LOT of reactions chasing that AoT high over the years and this was easily a top S tier reaction and discussion after, also very smart move to listen to whoever told you to watch it twice. I sincerely hope when you've finished it you can rewatch on your own time to discover all the seeds planted that weren't even mentioned in this video. Like how you figured out Ymir was from Marley and Reiner recognized her ability to read the herring fish can, which would be a food only found on the coast that they would have never seen according to Armin.

Condescending? Which part is condescending? I was just speaking in a hyped up excited mode because of how things are layed out in our face. So if anything condescending sounded it wasn't the intent? Yup yup. When I asked the girls to do the breakdown of 16 17 18 and 19 20 (twice) and 21 and 22 along with a notebook, one of my main motivations was not just for our own sake to watch them deep dive better but for their own sake (the girls), not only to learn more about the world and make better connections and not miss details, but because I know these girls are so beautifully smart and intuitive that they won't even believe how good they were at watching this show and having these notebooks noted after the show end will allow them to have the proof of how they smart they were on some stuff and some silly memes about how nutty some of their other takes were 🤣. But eitherway it would be a fun reaction to watch them do a "final montage" of their diary notes + tier list of theories that they nailed or missed at the end and other fun trivia games.

LM reactions, Carlie and Ange, and Haylo and Kiss have been my top 3 combined AoT "breakdown" reactors. Yes there are some other reaction channels that hade some solid hype moments and I love them too, but when it came down to the emotional investment and breakdown and actually thinking in a grey manner and not just black and white hype trains of action... Definitely these 3 They appreciated both the action and the lore dumps and even the quiet "fillers" before the storm (and then they also immediately realize that those filler episodes are anything but filler episodes and are the most shadowy episodes out there, like ymir backstory on the tree with Reiner and Bert and the last 4 episodes of s3 etc...) People hype s3 part 2 for the episodes 16 17 18 trilogy but really it's all of it, the trilogy are like the literal nuke bomb of action (rip Armin 😂) and the last 3 are the wasteland aftermath of "things will never be the same again, even if the nuke passed, the remains in the ground itself (basement) are forever tainted with what happens in the last 4 episodes of s3

the resources that marley wants are the unique gas that fueled up odm gears, they are far more last longing than steam and fossil fuel. thats why zeke/beast titan was fascinated by miche's odm gear back in season 2, marley doesnt have that technology due to them only relying on fossil fuel and coal/steam.

When I started this story, I never saw it turning into a Nazi Germany type situation. Only it's not so one sided as that, of course. But the parallels are definitely there.
