I believe the birds that deliver the mail are called News Coos. Something I just caught on this watch is that the tangerine and pinwheel don't just represent Nami's attachment to her home town, but also to the most prominent parental figures in her life, Bell-mère and Gen. The Navy are the military arm of the World Government. As such, they have jurisdiction over the entire world. Luffy's bounty will follow him no matter where he goes. I believe others have mentioned that Luffy stabbing himself was cut from the anime for censorship reasons. It was eventually aired as part of a special episode much later in the show's run. I am very excited to see what comes next on your journey with the Straw Hats.

I'm happy you guys enjoy it so much and that you will be continuing. Excited that we get we will nab the AOT slot once you finish over there. 46 and 47 are mixed Canon/Filler, and mainly follows the women and the other character looking at Luffy's bounty at the end of 45. 48 is the start of the next arc. IMO you could easily get away with skipping 46 and and only watching the end of 47. I would give you a time stamp but mine is slightly different than yours.

Skip everything is red but watch everything in black. https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/one-piece. You should watch the manga canon, mixed/filler canon and anime canon. The black are the stories Odo wrote himself or approved of in the anime and are the official OP story line.

And IMO you should not recommend them to skip canon episodes dude. Episodes 46 and 47 animate manga cover story and there's nothing more to discuss here, they're canon episodes.

Ok with 6 episodes a week you will be caught up in about 3 years and judging from the current events the show still shouldn't be finished by then, but it definitely is going in that direction, unfortunately. Thank you for confirming the obvious! :D ❤️ @edit Oh and I have a suggestion. Hayloo that notepad is a good idea but don't hesitate to pause the episode to discuss something, at least I don't mind it 😅. There were few situations when you've started talking about something regarding on screen events but stopped shortly to not lose the dialogues from an ongoing episode :P

Glad you're continuing, all the juicy stuff is ahead and it is a golden time to catch up for many reasons. 6 episodes a week sounds great too. You can skip fillers, there is only one filler arc that's compulsory to see as it is the greatest filler arc ever, episodes from 196 to 206, but that's pretty far for now. Also, the Marines are part of the World Government, they have jurisdiction everywhere, saying that it is unprecedented can be taken as an unprecedented bounty for the East Blue, but bounties are active pretty much all around the world as are the Marines.

Catching up is amazing but painful, especially if you remain Anime only, but you don't have to worry about that for a while (about 3 years at a rate of 6 per week) so savor every second. This will be a fun ride, you should expect waaaay more crying because of more sad stories AND you'll be more attached to the series down the line :'D. There's two “big spoilers” you have to watch out, I recommend you do not read many comments on YouTube (or have someone mod/filter them or just sending you the best ones to read/reply) beware that a big chunk of reactors get spoiled :'(

I am so happy you two decided to keep going, you will not be disappointed!!! A bit of a clarification on the bounty, it applies worldwide. The navy covers all over the whole world, just the Grand Line is a bit full of pirates which is why they have the Seven Warlords to help. I'm sure most people would say to skip filler but I find they do a decent enough job of adding characterization to the Straw Hats. Also some filler arcs last episode end going into the next canon arc. But it's all up to you guys. And finally, don't be afraid to take a break from One Piece. Catching up to this series is a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes you gotta slow things down. If you need to watch another smaller show then do so. Other than that I hope you two have a blast watching this fantastic show!!!

Ah, bounty posters. Everyone looks so menacing on them, then there's Luffy with that big smile ruling over the East Blue bounties with a 30 million belly bounty 🤣🤣🤣 That's roughly equal to $200,000 (I'm using Japanese Yen to US Dollars conversion and rounding up), so that's a nice chunk of change!

I respect your opinion to disagree, but your rudeness will not stop me from speaking my opinion. I did mention they are MIXED filler/canon, so maybe you should put your glasses on. But the actual amount of Cannon content in these episodes is about 2 min worth if that. I'm not forcing them to listen to my opinion either, they are still free to choose what to do with the information I have given them.

I like episode 44 pretty much more than all the fighting episodes that came before it lol. It's so heartfelt, and so much meaning packed into everything. The writer just knows what he's doing. I can't put it any other way than that, and he maintains this attention to detail (and more) even 1000+ chapters later. It's crazy

Just a heads up, episodes 46 and 47 might feel like fillers but they are not. Occasionally in the One Piece manga, the author uses cover pages as extra story to show what other characters are doing in the world. So across a few chapters, you'll get one page of a continued story on the front cover. 46 and 47 essentially expand on two cover pages. The anime doesn't do this very often. The next arc begins in episode 48, or at the end of 47... Can't remember lol Love this channel! Super glad you are continuing the journey! Can't wait for more :D

Going by your logic they can also "easily get away with skipping" 68 and 69 because these are also cover story episodes labeled as mixed canon/filler and not one person in their right mind would ever suggest that. Sorry not sorry for being rude to point that out ;) anyway you probably just don't like the side character those next two episodes resolve around.

Be careful with the filler in one piece they will often have the 1st and last episode of filler, half filler and half cannon. Especially for this next part you will miss a lot of world building, if you don't watch the 1st half of the first filler arc, and the last half of the last episode for the filler arc. For the important world building part the filler starts on episode 54. I don't think there is anything you need to see in that, but you will need to watch the first 8 or so minutes of episode 55, then the story starts back up on episode 61 about 13 minutes in. If you skip 61 you will be very confused in episode 62.

As far as filler goes in One Piece, early on its a little difficult. There are guides out there. There are episodes that are half filler. Episodes that have like a couple of minutes of cannon. It gets easier to skip later on as the filler becomes its own self contained arcs. One last stop and then we're in the grand line. You two are going to love this next saga.

Filler episodes are a minor issue in OP compared to filler scenes and extended canonical scenes, which are unskippable and responsible for most of the bloat and slow pacing.

I'd say this is probably one of the last times to catch up with one piece. No one can say for sure, but it could end in the year to 5 years... Oda said he wants to end it in 5 years 3 years ago or so but he has said this multi times.(who knows)

Well if It's got cannon you should watch the episode imo. (Like I've said before, it's up to them. So the whole conversation is irrelevant) but if you skip some of them episodes you'll be sitting there not knowing what is going on.

Even though I have watched One Piece countless times, I can't stop watching it over and over again. Now you can't stop either, One Piece is just THAT magical xD
