⛤ January Q&A (Patreon)
Content
look at me not posting the Q&A at the last possible second! lol
4 days to go in the month but I have nothing to do except wait for my new spell video to render. that's not true, I have a lot to do, all the time, but just don't feel like cleaning the house or working out or prepping food or writing down all the recipes I made last week or finishing the grocery list or folding towels or doing dishes or cleaning out the fridge or hand washing my fishnets or organizing my studio closet or figuring out what desserts I'm going to bake by next Monday, the only sunny day of the week and subsequently the single best day for shooting food photos for my portfolio, right this second. is there a single person who just keeps up with everything in their life and has... free time... at the end of the day? the week? at all? not gonna lie to you, I watch a lot of aspirational content on youtube of young people living in nice places, making over their loft apartments and having skin care routines and eating nothing but yogurt and fruit and oatmeal cooked with water (are you actually ok???) and then I look at my cat fuzz coated couch and muddy front door and the litter of leaves on the floor from my pepper trees and dishes that have been in the sink for like a week cause they can't go in the dishwasher and I don't have fucking time to hand wash shit and I'm like... what do they do for work??? lol
sometimes I feel like everyone has their life together but me and I'm the only one about to have a nervous breakdown handling just work and chores.
how can i submit to you and surrender? by subscribing to my $66 tier where you can submit and surrender to my spell work :)
what are your plans for this year? any exciting video projects we will be able to enjoy? my plans for this year are to make as much quality content as humanly possible. some years I am just on fire and this year is one of those years. I will be finishing ozark tales 6 next month which will be the final episode in that series. then I am going to mess with a pilot of my next series which will be reading the spooky stories you sent in! (email: nocturnaltales.esc@gmail.com if you've ever had a real paranormal encounter!) I am also still collecting props for a video I wanted to do last year, spa for witches (only) and I'm about half done writing the script. another immediate project will be a MV for the next track on my writhing collab EP called wandering. down the line I also want to make an asmr singing video of some of my favorite songs by snake river conspiracy but I can't sing a full song in the same pitch to save my life so that has been taking a lot longer than expected. that was one of the projects I started because I was running behind and needed to 'post something fast'. it never works like that. after ozark tales I have another book called ozark tales to read for a series but the concept will be different, I don't want to spoil the surprise. also looking at a collab with city of dawn again this year. in april I want to take a trip to south missouri to see the total solar eclipse. I've always wanted to see one once in my life. total solar eclipses don't happen in germany and if they do it's overcast. as you can see I have my work cut out for me this year and possibly even the next.
if you could pick any industry or hobby to be the best in the world at, which would you pick? what would you use your new amazing skills for?
I would choose to be the very best at stock brokerage and I would make a fuck ton of money so I wouldn't have to rely on kind and generous people like you to survive in this economy 🥲 but if I wasn't in a shitty financial situation I would say music. I've always wanted to make my own music but had to put this passion on the back burner for a long time. all I ever wanted was to create music that sounds like home to me (which I have been told is not, in fact, music, as it does not have a verse, chorus and bridge...) fun fact, I keep collecting flutes and can't fucking figure out how to play them.
how do you approach resolutions? do you find them inspiring/helpful or unnecessary? I love new year's resolutions. the fresh new start in the collective consciousness at the turn of a calendar year is the perfect jumping off point for new ambitions and necessary life changes. many people, I know, have a hard time sticking to resolutions. but in a majority of cases that is down to setting bad goals. you have to know how to set the right goals. it is unlikely that you will follow through with your resolutions if they are: superficial and/or a chore and/or outwardly motivated and/or overwhelming. resolutions should be meaningful to you personally, something you want to do and are ready for, something you chose independently and for the right reasons and something you can reasonably achieve. take for example: going to the gym. look at all those january gym rats! I wonder where they've all gone by february? the answer is back home because it's fucking cold and they only started going because they thought they should anyways and they want a good body but they don't wanna wear themselves out and life has returned to business as usual and now the free time they had between december 25th and january 6th is all but gone and now it's down to sacrificing something else for this stupid resolution and they just need a little 11 month break before they get back on that treadmill...
I do not make a single resolution that I don't desire with all my heart and am willing to work towards. my downfall is that I am overly ambitious and consistently bite off more than I can chew. but that shouldn't be a problem this year. I just filmed a video about my resolutions which I will start editing when this spell is done rendering. I know it's not strictly necessary to wait for a certain date to make a change, but I like to piggyback off of the collective energy to boost my intentions, whether it comes to personal achievements or inspired spell work.
what’s your MBTI? I--P. haha introverted and perceptive are my most dominant traits, upwards of 75%. but when it comes to the middle two, they are almost 50/50, causing me to get a slightly different result taking MBTI tests on different sites. I've gotten all 4, INFP, INTP, ISFP and ISTP. but I think the closest is probably ISFP.
you’ve referenced an anime called Serial Experiments Lain in a video before. would you say you like anime or have a few you like? it's been forever since I've seen it. I don't remember if I liked it, but I imagine I would, since I love weird shit and am extremely entertained by hard to understand things. it definitely left an impression. I enjoy anime in general and have so many fond memories of fun anime I've watched. I could write a laundry list. but for the sake of this post I will mention only a few off the top of my head: Steins;Gate, Working!!, Angel Heart, Digimon (sorry Pokemon stans!!), Sailor Moon (1994) and this one about three sisters who were cat burglars that I could never find again. I think it was called cat's eye and the girls' names were Hitomi, Nami and Love (or Ai, but I was watching the german dub on TV so Love might have been translated for ease of understanding). I think Hitomi also had a boyfriend named Toshi. if you have seen this anime please point me to where I can watch it again. I have such 90's nostalgia for that one right now.
that's it for this month's questions. next month there will be another post where you can ask me whatever you damn well please. I hope this was enlightening and as always, drink your water and wear your sunscreen (yes, in the winter, too!)
to a less shitty 2024 🍸
