⛤ March Q&A (Patreon)

Finally I have a moment to sit down and answer your questions. The past month has been busy and demanding and even now I'm behind on chores that seem to pile up every single day and keep me occupied late into the night. But a bitch got to recharge at some point, so, sipping moon water I'm reading through your questions from last month and petting the cat in her handmade (by me) plush bed with my idle hand.
What’s your favorite cookie recipe? Already starting me off with such a difficult question. I have made so many cookies, tea cakes and shortbreads in just the past year alone that it seems impossible to pick a favorite. But the one I keep coming back to is a basic olive oil biscotti recipe. I have made several batches of these, including dark chocolate, ginger and allspice and cranberry pecan - I have adapted the recipe with sunflower oil in place of olive and different flavors (almond extract is good but almond extract and vanilla extract and lemon extract is better!) and every single variation has been absolutely mouthwatering, positively addictive and so easy to pull together. My favorite part is that I don't have to wait for a pound of butter to come up to room temp. It makes the recipe delightfully spontaneous and a great use for the little bags of toppings I collect from the chopped salad kits I buy that we never end up using. I buy the salad kits to use as a topping for rice bowls and tacos and then I'm stuck with bags of dressing and tiny portions of cranberries, pecans, almonds and pumpkin seeds. Once I have enough of these, it's biscotti time!
If you could change one thing about the way people think or behave, what would you pick? I would make people not hoard wealth. The richest 1% sit on literal fortunes while we peasants struggle to make ends meet holding down multiple jobs. And now that people have finally had enough and don't want to break their backs for literal peanuts anymore, they want to bring child labor back! Wealth is only valuable when it is shared amongst everyone, not used to buy politicians and keep psychopaths in power. I think the world would be a much better place if ordinary people got to benefit from their own labor - not least because our labor is what society runs on. Without the people, the rich can wipe their asses with dollar bills right back into the stone age. My second answer would have been to make people not litter and respect their environment and the planet more rather than exploit mother earth straight to death, but I feel like eliminating wealth hoarding would make a slightly better impact than that. If common people had more resources to work with, we would be able to be more conscious of how the planet is treated and vote with our dollars for more fair and environmentally conscious products and businesses. But if people literally have no spare funds, they have no choice but to buy the cheapest, most horribly produced things available to them. That's my take on two interconnected values.
Are you interested in geology? To a degree. I do often call myself a geology enthusiast as a more flattering version of Jack's term "rock hoarder" for my affinity for gems and minerals. I find rocks and minerals and how they come to be incredibly fascinating, aswell as working with their metaphysical properties and effects on people.
Ally I’m considering to start playing house flipper, was wondering if you have any recommendations? I recommend getting all the DLC. Not just for the features, but all the cool stuff you get. In House Flipper, the more stuff you have to work with, the better. As I write this, I am impatiently waiting for the Farm Flipper DLC that will allow you to build an extension to a house, as a lot of the houses are very small and don't allow for much creativity in room layouts. I am very tired of having to choose between a bedroom and a living room. Also, the house flipping community on steam has created so much high quality custom content, so I recommend checking out the workshop tab on the house flipper page in your library. Lastly, if you play the game as intended you won't care about this, but since I play it as a sandbox game, I get a lot of use out of cheats and commands. Because I only care about my personal satisfaction in a home renovation and, to a lesser degree, my portfolio.
I got a feeling I already know what it is, but what kind of power and/or weapon would you take with you to a battle? I don't understand the question. Are we talking a massive battle like civil war battles or smaller scale fight club battles or a fantasy alternate universe wizards vs elves battle? Is the battle on land? Sea? Air? Space? And what do you mean by power? A superpower? A perk? How supernatural can the power be? How creative can the weapon be? I have so many questions. Please elaborate in the April Q&A.
Have you seen Maleficent: mistress of evil? I have seen Maleficent when it came out in theatres years ago. It was actually pretty magical. I planned a whole date night for me and my ex and we had the cinema to ourselves because there was a big live soccer game broadcast in every other hall. They gave us 3D glasses and we were all alone in an empty hall watching a 2 hour movie about a misunderstood witch. Absolutely magical, perfect date. Though my ex was still mad that I made her miss the game that she never mentioned she even gave a shit about. 🤷♀️
Ally do you like lavender scented candles? No. Lavender reminds me of cleaning and candles remind me of relaxation. Those two things do not mix.
As always I enjoyed answering your questions and hope it was worth the read. If you have follow up questions, the April Q&A will be available very soon. I must hurry if I want to have dinner ready at a reasonable time so I will keep the outro short. Have a wonderful spring/autumn, enjoy the temperate weather and never ever forget to wear your sunscreen! I still have sun spots on my shoulders from the wicked sunburn I got in 5 hours at the ren fair last year. Learn from my mistakes!
