I know I've been quiet so I wanted to let you know what I've been working on. I have been pre-planning/writing/filming for several videos, the two that are going to come out next are a set of meditations - one for the morning and one for the evening. I wrote them myself so you know they're gonna be good. spiritual summer may have got pushed into autumn but I hope you will still enjoy the beautiful videos I have in store. try not to judge them by their labels lol. the way I meditate is way more easy-going than what you're probably used to seeing. these are going to be so beautiful. I finally managed to create a decent aesthetic after a week of crying about how ugly I look on camera (when I know I'm at least reasonably attractive in the mirror). as we speak I have hairspray in my hair like it's the 80's but it'll all be worth it

Hi Ally. I have the same problem; in the mirror, I think I look good, but then I take a selfie on my phone, and I look horrid. It has to be a certain distance. Play with distances, and you can find sweet spots. I don't know what causes it, but that's why V uses a 'photo stick' attached to her camera.

I can't wait! And for what its worth you're already gorgeous, so I'm sure the aesthetic will be fantastic.

Cameras can supposedly detect the sub-surface level of skin visually, which tends to cause distorted texture/color consistency in the capture. Not sure how it works, but supposedly lighting and/or foundation can avoid/block the effect. Both of those have an odd relationship with cameras. This is partly why many content creators put their look together via screen and the full camera setup nowadays (as opposed to in the mirror before going on camera). Hopefully you eventually got the look you want for both. It can be a bit tricky to translate your real-life appearance onto camera. Looking forward to the new pieces, but please take the time you need for them.

coloration isn't an issue for me mostly, it's adjusting my makeup and hair for the curve of the lens. I'm using a wide angle lens so it kinda squishes everything together towards the middle, making my hair look flat, my makeup distorted etc. not to mention the lighting and how the slightest change in angle of each individual lamp illuminates my face and hair differently and figuring out how to make everything look ok is a nightmare sometimes. all because I have an irrational hatred for ring lights lol

Sounds like a very challenging balancing act. Must be tough on the perfectionist-artist part of you. Thank you for always putting in the extra effort. It does not go unnoticed.
