⛥ November Q&A (Patreon)
Content
I'm almost ready to wrap up my first day of only Patreon work in a while. Been going through some test questions in my head and talking to Jack about what I could possibly be asked during my interview, as we have a meeting with our lawyers tomorrow discussing preparation. Of course I am nervous, having to convince a complete stranger that I am my husband's wife. I'm not used to having to convince people of facts because most people who don't believe the facts don't matter in my personal journey. Now, my future will be in the hands of a stranger and I have to make a good impression. Tarot tells me I lack faith instead of answering questions about the outcome. And while faith is good, being overprepared, I've learned, is more important. If there's one thing I'm scared of it's Murphy's law. But now that all is said and done, my brain has run out of outlandish questions to fabricate. You, however, have come through with a bunch more last month! Now it's time to answer your burning curiosity.
Have you read the caster chronicles? No, never heard of it.
I Have a question about your Delphi priestess sleep Hypnosis roleplay video. Was it difficult to record it in darkness? No, I could see myself in the video recording software on my laptop that I put up on the tragically unused cat tree in the corner of my living room. (My cat started using it after I moved it to a location with a view)
Have either of you had Royce Nama chocolate before? Which do you each prefer between dark, milk, and white chocolate? Never heard of it but I've never had a chocolate I didn't- No, nevermind, I've had Hershey's and Reese's and the very comparable cheap gritty off-brand from Aldi. But most quality chocolate I really enjoy. My favorite is milk chocolate, whereas Jack prefers dark chocolate. The best chocolate I've ever had was an organic, 46% milk chocolate by Rapunzel with Bolivian and Dominican cacao. An absolute delight. I need to order some again soon.
How many years did you ride horses? Less than one, I believe. It was part of a therapy that I once did because my former carer knew a lady who would do these casual horseback rides out of the kindness of her heart, knowing how much animal therapy benefits people. She taught me how to brush and care for a horse and I learned how attentive and compassionate horses are. I had to quit eventually because staying up way past my bedtime to go horseback riding every week or two weeks got very taxing on my body.
Did you ride big or small horses? Just one big old horse. She was a very good girl. The lady also had two ponies, one of which was usually with us on the rides through the woods. She was also a very good girl. One morning it was particularly hot and I was feeling light headed and the pony immediately sensed it and came up to me to check on me and help me feel better. Must be her maternal instincts.
What town in Russia where you born in? It's in the south. I'm not comfortable sharing the exact location.
Do you have a favourite fictional wizard or witch? Oof, it's been a really long time since I read or watched anything with fictional witches in it... I don't think I've ever had a favorite. The closest thing to a favorite is probably the one witch in the novel I once read in my teens that brought a girl back to life by convincing the sword that killed her that it didn't... To me, that was #goals back then! Definitely inspired me to do more witchcraft. Haven't tried necromancy yet, but I sometimes have dreams where I talk about having brought my cat back to life! In my dreams he is alive and well, as is my dog, and in my dreams, I seem to have clear memory of how, in a previous dream, he died but then sprung back to life like nothing had happened and how overjoyed I was to have him back. I still love cuddling him in the astral realm.
Ally If your don’t mind me asking at what age were you diagnosed with ADHD? I was 21/22 when I was diagnosed with ADHD. To my parents, ADHD didn't exist and my attention issues were just me being lazy and not wanting to study. Anyone else?
What kind of Music did you play in your high school band? We played covers of really cool alt-rock songs like Zombie, Knocking on Heaven's Door, Hotel California and some more Cranberries covers I believe. Our music teacher and band instructor was really cool and even gave us all default A's based on our extracurricular performance. I miss those times. That was the one time and place in my adolescent years where I felt accepted and appreciated for my talents and got to do what I love without being scolded and yelled at about how I'm wasting my time.
Are you wearing coloured contact lenses in the blood banquet video? No. Why? Does it look like I am? Sometimes the color editing can make my eyes look different. In this video I had to filter out a lot of yellow hues due to some fucked white balance settings on my camera. I love color editing, though. I can achieve the aesthetic I want and even make myself look like a demon from hell. It's fun stuff.
How do you find inspiration when writing a script for new videos? I'm not exactly sure how to explain the process of birthing ideas. Once I commit to an idea, I just pretend it's really happening and play out possible scenarios in my head. I'll use blood banquet as an example. The idea was an auction for bottled blood taking place in a universe where Shiki are roaming the earth. I put myself into the shoes of one and asked myself what I would care about in the taste of blood, how it would affect me, what fellow undead would value in a certain type of blood as I had taken from the anime that Shiki have different tastes. The blonde lady in the hideous dresses for example liked the blood of liars, I believe. So I added that into the descriptions and played out how such an auction would realistically go, what would make sense for me to do or not do and structured my entire performance based on that... The hardest part was coming up with enough people who would be desirable enough to sell to elite vamps and describing their blood in detail in a way I think it would sell. That part took me a week straight. Then putting myself in the shoes of the audience and what kind of questions and concerns they would have and how I would answer them as my character. In short, I just pretend I'm really there and see how it goes.
Do you prefer slim fit or baggy trousers? I prefer skirts but if I have to have trousers, I prefer slim fit as I can't imagine handling the constant sensation of shifting fabric all over my legs very well.
What kind of dreams do you usually have at night? Are they scary, strange or exciting? Most of them are really bizarre. Besides just dreaming about my dead pets, I just get the weirdest strings of crazy dream symbols I have to consciously look up if I remember them because of my typical knee jerk reaction of "wtf". The other night I dreamt that I accidentally dipped a desert rose in water. Other times I will be bit by snakes, trying to have sex but unable to find privacy, people I know as certain people in my life presenting as different people in my life or as a different gender for no particular reason, the moon being enormous in the sky and threateningly close to earth but not crashing into it, dyeing my hair or having someone dye my hair or realizing I'm wearing a hair color that I hate and wanting to change it... And that's just the stuff that sticks with me because it makes me go "huh?!" ...
What are your dreams like? Do you remember them? I hope you enjoyed my answers to your questions and if you're curious, this is the dream dictionary I use. Their search bar has been broken for years now, I hope they fix it soon. Another post will be available here soon.
Have a lovely holiday season and look forward to some festive videos :)
