this is a vlog of us trying German food for the first time. despite having lived in this country for the vast majority of my existence, I've never had authentic German food. my mother only ever made the same 5 Russian dishes and I've been way too experimental with my food all my life to "settle" for something so "normal" and readily available. boy was I missing out! both German and Austrian food are some of the most incredible hearty cuisines I ever had. this year when Jack visits in November I'm dead set on having as much German and Austrian food (they're quite similar) as possible. I would kill for another taste of Kaiserschmarrn and... uh... whatever that pork dish we had in this video was. such divine flavors, hidden in plain sight!
have you ever had any German food? do you have a favorite dish?
maybe I shouldn't have fucked with this vlog today as I'm exceptionally hungry but I hope you enjoyed seeing our first German food experience and well Jack and me being silly af.
I'll be publishing as much content as humanly possible before I take my 3 week break in November. currently pre-recording stuff, checking stuff off my list and fixing shit that broke this Mercury retrograde. with such anxiety inducing, chaotic energy, I'm doing my best to be a stable and balancing force. I hope it's working :)
