Good morning. This morning I'm just trying to be productive as since schools opened back up this year, I have been repeatedly woken up at 11AM by some dumbass kid using the heart attack buzzer (context: I go to bed at 6AM) so I'm chronically sleep deprived and ridiculously close to a nervous breakdown. These buzzers are vicious because they are so loud even through ear plugs and all the brown noise in the world. Doesn't matter which apartment is getting buzzed either. It's a universally shared experience throughout the entire building. It's like getting electric shocks multiple times a day and probably bad for the human organism. Since you are here I'm certain you already know that sleep is everything. So if I can't get any, I'm gonna overcomp. by making sure you get plenty. So I'm gonna get all the bonus content sorted over the next few days and get back on my grind for October. Halloween content? Halloween content.
You said you have a gaming computer. What video games do you like to play? Haha my 'gaming computer' is just my old laptop that has been demoted to games and music. It's hooked up to my sound system so I use it to play music during the day, generic noise during the night to drown out the abomination that is the neighbors, and sometimes I play the Sims 3 on it. The new computer Jack got me for rendering videos would probably run it better, but there's not enough disk space on it to have both 4k videos and a massive game with 10000 installed downloads. I like playing simulation games, specifically in the sandbox design, and mom games but nothing with any form of time management. These are about the only games that don't stress me tf out. Patiently waiting on the Paralives release at the minute.
How many cats have you had and what have their names been? Only two. The first cat I ever had wasn't originally mine. It was my aunt's cat, his name was Marquis and he was the sweetest, most loving and chilled out cat ever. When the last of the family blood line finally immigrated to Germany, they didn't want to leave their cat while sorting out immigration stuff, so we agreed to take him. He died a year or two after we took him in of gall stones. The second one we got from a bazaar in Russia (yes they sell animals there, yes it's totally legal, yes the ones that don't get sold get killed) as just a small kitten. He was way too small to be separated from his mother but at the time I didn't know that. I wanted all the kittens of course but my mother made me pick one. His name was Leo/Nacho depending on who you ask. I watched over him all of summer in Russia when we got him and we smuggled him on a plane over to Germany where he was the highlight of everyone's day. No one cared because he slept quietly until they brought food lol. Then he couldn't keep in his tiny roars trying to get to the food. He wasn't supposed to have any as he just got his vaccinations the day before our flight but we let him have a little so he'd go back to sleep. He was was my one true friend for nearly 12 years when he died of a disease that the vets couldn't figure out that made his skin peel off with the fur attached to it, made him lose all his weight and ability to walk on his own. We were quite distraught as multiple rounds of bloodwork and x-rays revealed no abnormalities whatsoever. That's why I decided to befriend the local cats. I don't want to commit to a new pet until I'm settled with my husband and his noisy ass cat. But I am getting my apartment ready and cleaned up so I can at least let them in when it's cold out if they choose.
Do you read The Ancient Magus' Bride? It seems like a manga you'd appreciate. Never heard of it. What's it about?
Do you like classic rock? If so any particular bands you like? You know, I had to google classic rock bands and there don't seem to be any in that list that I go out of my way to listen to. Apparently I'm very goth/metal leaning indeed. You learn something new every day.
Do you have a favourite brand of perfume? No not yet. Even though I have yet to try these expensive ass perfumes that sound amazing compared to the commercial crap they try to shove down your throat at every drug store. I'm actually one of those people who can sample every single perfume in a store and hate every single one. It takes extensive searching for me to find something I think smells nice. I think most commercial/popular perfumes are absolutely disgusting, especially the ones that smell like some watery concoction for nose-deaf imbeciles who use it in place of deodorant. That's why I make my own blends with essential oils and incense infusions. I don't wanna smell like a toilet bowl damn it I want to smell like patchouli and dirt.
What do you like to eat? Apart from Indian food of course. Only everything. I honestly love food so much I enjoy almost anything that is well prepared. Now if the food is nasty in every way that's a different story lol I'm not a garbage bin. I won't turn my nose up at pub grub if it's good grub but if you serve me gritty, gummy, grossly tough meats don't expect me to risk jaw cramps trying to chew that shit.
How often do you buy new material for your videos such as crystals, incense, candles, selenite wands etc.? It honestly depends. Whether or not I'm inspired, how big my budget is, how stable I'm feeling to be able to go outside (spoiler: not very stable with constant sleep deprivation). For incense I like to keep a good stock for my craft and personal enjoyment so I guess I buy more if I run low. And it's not hoarding if it's crystals. I love shopping for that kind of stuff though and would do it every week if I could.
For someone like me who knows almost almost nothing about magic or witchcraft, what is the safest and smartest way to learn about it? (*whispers* not tiktok) I don't know, pick any book (written by an actual witch)? I don't want to be the one who starts people on their path as I believe everyone is best off finding it for themselves. People constantly ask me to recommend sources, where to start researching, what to read, what to buy - but I refuse to ruin the most important first step for anyone. The biggest reason witchcraft has stuck with me all my life is because no one told me what to do. No one taught me how to do anything, I taught myself. And I know if there had been anyone at all telling me how to do it and who to listen to, I would have lost interest. It wouldn't have been my path anymore. If you really want to learn something with your heart and not just your brain, that self-initiation is crucial. So go to a book store and find a book that vibes with you and read it. Additionally, there are witches on YouTube who make informational content so if you're interested in hearing about first hand accounts, listen to those. Just don't get sucked into the law of attraction community when looking for witchcraft content - they think their word is gospel but they are so surface level it's physically painful. I'm only warning you about this because it is a common pitfall for people unable to differentiate.
I hope this was informative for your greedy brain lol. Next month's question post will appear, well, next month. Hopefully within the first few days if all goes well. Until then I hope you get some delightful sleep and that life treats you well.
