Ally's USA Bucket List (Patreon)

As our plans to marry and move are progressing, I can't help but get a little excited to start a new life on a new landmass. I want to make this list to actively add to and cross things off because for the first time I get to feel like I'm going somewhere in life - somewhere I want to be - in my lover's arms forever. 

Here are the silly things I look forward to:

 ⛥ Eat at a diner. They look fun in movies. 

 ⛥ Road trip. I enjoy being on the road with someone I trust, listening to music and watching the scenery go by. And with all the leg room and big open roads the US offer it promises to be exciting.

 ⛥ s̶h̶o̶p̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶a̶r̶m̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶m̶a̶r̶k̶e̶t̶ 

 ⛥ g̶o̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶r̶b̶u̶c̶k̶s̶  they only have one good drink it turns out

 ⛥ e̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶f̶u̶n̶n̶e̶l̶ ̶c̶a̶k̶e̶  tastes as advertised

 ⛥ Buy a round of shots. "Shots for everyone!" is what I hear cool characters in movies shout just before a crowd starts cheering. In Germany that so wouldn't fly with everyone being so reserved and suspicious of everyone... At least not before 2AM. The idea of buying shots for the whole bar makes my inner popular girl happy. I know she exists, she just hasn't had her chance to shine yet. Maybe she'll have better luck in a country where being "weird" is not synonymous with batshit insane, psycho and cooties. 

 ⛥ Play "what's in the sandwich". Seen in Being Human S3. What am I supposed to say? I've never had anyone to make me a sandwich, let alone surprise me with one. Though I'm much more experimental in the kitchen and Jack will probably guess what's in the sandwich more frequently than me. 

 ⛥ Find amazing homemade cookies. There's nothing like good homemade treats that make the commercial stuff look bad in comparison. I hope there's a really good baker in town.

 ⛥ Visit an orchard. I've loved picking fruit since I was little. I would not be mad about having that as a seasonal part time job either. Sometimes I pick cherries and plums in the park (I'm the only one, without me all the good fruit would go to waste!) but there's massive orchards across the pond with heaps of variety and I can't wait to touch and explore the seasonal produce.
