Watching this just reminded me that the Falklands War kicked off just the following year after this episode aired! Even though it was one of the shortest wars that there’s been, still as horrific as the rest. I watched a documentary about it 2 years ago, from the soldiers POV. Mainly because outside of Wikipedia, I don’t recall ever really hearing all that much about it in full detail. Very interesting! Though of course disturbing to hear about their personal experiences, and great deal of sadness to see the state that it had left them in, mentally and physically. Apologies if this sounds naive, war isn’t one of my usual conversation topics. Don’t know if it interests you at all Meg, but it’s called “Our Falklands War: A Frontline Story” available on iplayer for 2 more months.
