Hello Megan yes Father Ted is a serious favourite for a lot of us and i have noticed other reactor channels also agree even after going through 100s of other tv programming when asked what has been your favourite thing you watched Father Ted is usually mentioned so hopefully yo will keep watching until the end of the series.

You are right about them being archetypes. It's hard to overstate how important the church was in Ireland and this was mocking all the types of bad priest.
