Some of you have voiced your doubts or discontent about the change in the reason for which the Purebloods were being bought.

Let me explain my thought process:

I removed the breeding theme from the story not out of any moral concerns but because it didn't make sense given the world I've established.
For one, this system of slavery is very different from the one in our world. As an example, children of Slaves are not automatically Slaves. Therefore, it makes no sense to breed them. It would be an arduous process every single time to force them into accepting the Ritual.

This leads to my second point. The way the rich are "forcing" the Chimeroi into accepting the Ritual is Undercity. They basically lock them up there with minimal resources and no oversight to create a hellscape they are desperate to escape.

This is the system I've established over the last 40+ chapters. The breeding thing was a throwaway line I wrote into a single chapter because I assumed I would pick it up later, but it is not how the cookie crumbled. I could have gone the breeding route as well, but then I would have to change how the Ritual worked and what the purpose of Undercity was.

Honestly, I love the change and think it makes sense given how Korrovan works. It’ll also be interesting to see how it’ll change with Zeke owning the Undercity.

I honestly didnt really care about the breeding thing. But the whole auction felt kinda pointless since the main point, to acpuire snow, was thwarted by nonsensical throwing around of money by a frankly insignificant antagonist.

Are there a bunch of progenitors running around having kids? Because having purebloods be enslaved on a semi-regular basis, with all of them being direct children of progenitors, implies that. That's fine, I just thought progenitors were super rare ancestral beasts or something, rather than fantasy Nick Cannon. I think the change is good, I'm just wondering about the numbers
