This has been one of the update cycles where life has just kicked me around. I'll spare you guys the long story, but the short version is my kid and wife's birthday happened this week, multiple Dr. appointments, some other personal stuff, dissecting the new Patreon guidelines, coming up with a path forward under the new guidelines, and a few days of burnout thanks to it all.

Some very good things were achieved as well during this update cycle. We got all the remaining barn event templates sketched out so writers could get to work on that. The Techno Witch art is done, that's her in the image. The story beats are finalized for the remaining story. I do want to be clear that story beats do not mean dialogue, it's our rough out of the story. It has been very time-consuming and is quite important, though.

Anyways, I should have update 0.2.96 out on Monday. It's two events so a little light, but as you can tell, we're gearing up for some story content sooner rather than later and it can slow down work on regular updates. I think all that's left for the next story update is to get some of the new barn events done, double-check a bunch of stuff, implement, and do a few rounds of QA to make sure it's all polished. I'll have more on that once we get a bit closer though.

In addition to all that, we will have an oddball update soon as well. We need to go through and make sure the game is in compliance with the new Patreon guidelines. That might not seem like it would be a lot, but the game has somewhere around 87,000 words of dialogue and around 1424 art files for characters. I can't promise what/if anything else will be in that update, but it's one of those things we have to do to make sure we can still keep making the game.
