As some of you might worry that I will abandon EYF development, I want to clarify that it is not my intention at all. And I'm planning to take EYF to the final version. The decision to add a new game was made only to give me more possibilities to work on EYF with less stress and to create better content for it, at the same time as I implement my new and better art skills in a new project as I can't change the style of EYF art at this stage of the game. And because I've wanted to create this new game for over a year already and I believe that you'll enjoy what I have planned :)

At the same time, I don't want you to feel that you are left out of this and that this decision was made without you, so I think a poll would be the best option to know how you feel about it and make a final decision together.

My idea for the future of EYF and the new game is that I will work on the new game and, at the same time, will still update EYF from time to time in parallel with the new game. But if you feel like it's not a good idea and you'd prefer me to work only on EYF like before, I'll have no problem with that, as all of you and your support are the reason I'm able to do what I do, and I would prefer that we make decisions together.

So this poll will help us decide the future together :)

Long story short you are struggling with the further development of EYF, and one way to help with that is to take a step back and not force progress that you and we will be dissatisfied with. We have all been there, so do what you need to do and continue to give us more content of the same or(hopefully) better quality. Thank you for alerting us and I hope that no one raises a fuss over you deciding what you want to create.

Exactly, that was the main reason I stayed away from the new project for so long as I wasn't sure how all of you would feel about it

Totally understandable, but if you need to do something different so that you feel your work is up to your standard… then you gotta do it.

Stepping back is a slippery slope. People like to say "oh well if you need to then take a break" but when you do that days can turn to weeks, weeks to months, and then something gets abandoned. So my advice is always a little different. Starting another project to run alongside what you are doing can help a lot. It is like coming back and seeing a solution it from another angle. My advice is still to keep doing something each day towards a project. Even if it is to jot down some notes, or organize a folder. Keeping each day towards some kind of progress is much better than taking a break and risking not coming back at all. I'm not saying this to sound greedy and try to say you should force yourself. This is just my experience. Any project I've touched a little upon each day eventually gets done. Any project I take a break on tends to stop getting updates. But that is me.

tbh I can't really take a break as I still constantly think about it trying to come up with new ideas; it's always in my head :) it's just that lately it wasn't as easy as before. Because some time before, it took me around two hours to come up with the ideas for the new update without even forcing it even a bit. But now I have to sit down, trying to come up with ideas intentionally, recearch stuff, scrap those ideas that I don't like and try to come up with better ones. So I want to come back to it with a fresh look, so it's like before when ideas come naturally

I voted for first option but honestly it doesn't matter for me if You make some new project or focus on EYF. Becouse I know that whatever will You do, it will be good :)

Seems to be pretty well decided that the majority of people are okay with both, and I am the same. The only things I really care about, are getting castration in EYF before we move on from that game and it's not really my place to say, but I would prefer if in the newer project there was less romance, maybe I'm in the minority, but I just don't really like romance in my smut games, especially in something like force fem, it just feels kinda off to me

It's completely understandable that developing further into EYF when things are already quite far along will take more time and effort. And when things are difficult and take more time it's easy to burn out. I think this is a win-win situation. We get a new game and more EYF, and you get to make a new exciting product and not burn out on EYF because you're forcing yourself to make new updates for only that game. Also, the updates we get will be better becausethey aren't forced. I'm definitely excited to see the new project.

I picked the first option. Honestly EYF seems like it's coming to a natural end soon anyway, it just needs set ups for whatever the endings might be. It's got a good amount of content and if you're already struggling with adding more things it's probably best to take a break, work on something else, then come back when you feel like you can give EYF the endings it deserves instead of just slapping something together like a lot of devs do when they get burned out on one thing.

What is the new game about?never mind I seen the other post.

I miss a third option, really no idea how to vote here. Basically I think if creativity hits, you should follow. But I really like EYF and ant to see more of it, have it fleshed out a bit, add a few options and choices, maybe provide a self-hostable version for the NAS... There are a lot of potential left and a new project always takes time.

I absolutely adore EYF, and want to see it flushed out especially the animated 3D one. That said, it's important for you to follow what makes you happy to, if you think you can bring us something fresh and cool, then pursue that, projects always come up better when driven by Passion instead of financial incentive
