I'm sorry that I've gotten a little behind schedule this month. I'm going to try to get at least two more pictures done and I plan to keep drawing Halloween pictures into November until I finish at least the top ten from the poll.

I've been distracted from drawing because I've been working on the script for a comic I want to do. This one should be long enough to run multiple issues so I'm trying to get at least the first five or six chapters planned out so I know it will really work before I commit to drawing anything.

This is the same comic book idea that I was thinking about doing a while back but was unable to really put together. I usually struggle with planning a comic book but I'm finding that if, instead of planning it in a script format, I just write out as a very visual prose story, it's going a lot smoother.  Frankly, developing the story for this comic is becoming addictive and I'm very excited as I look forward to sharing this story with you.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to start drawing this comic. Probably not until at least after December since I want to use that time to draw my usual seasonal illustrations.

Part of the reason I'm more motivated to do a comic now is because I've got a different plan for the art style to use. Please don't expect it to be as detailed as my usual illustrations. I consider those to be the style I would use a cover art. In the comic, I'll be keeping the color and shading simpler so that I can produce the multi-panel pages faster. I'm also thinking that I may try to built special 3D models for many of the backdrops if I can find a way to make it look like it goes well with the hand-drawn characters. And, worst case, if it doesn't work out as a comic, I can always release the prose story.

Of course, if I do draw this comic, it will be available to all of my Patreon patrons and my deviantArt subscribers. If not, I'll post the prose story to both places.

When you have a project you're working on and that's close to your heart, it must be hard to work on it on top of the usual illustrations ;) I remember the little comics you produced several years ago in a less detailed style, but with great success. I fully support you to carry out the projects you love, no matter how long it takes, your fans will always follow you !!
