Love the rings on them both, what goes through your mind when figuring out little details like that to put in your pieces?

Partly what goes through my mind is thinking about how to show relationships and intentions and backstory. What kind of visual cues, from rings to photos to expressions and so on, can be used to provide more exposition. Partly what goes through my mind is "Hur hur hur! This will be funny!"
