What makes this music box extra fun is that, when she winds up, the pole spins but the platform does not.

I always love trying to imagine a little backstory to the images and discovering little details in them. Needless to say, I think this is my new favorite piece! =)

I need to visually show that the character isn't a cisgender woman so, if we can't see a bulge, I need to show falsies or a lack of a wig, etc. A prima ballerina tutu makes it easy to use the bulge to communicate that.

The bulge does a great job! I just think the combo of bulge and no falsies just looks really good! :)
