For the most dedicated Dollie collector, there's nothing more exciting than finding that special new addition that you've been searching for and adding it to your display. It's almost sad when it's over. But then there's the excitement and anticipation of looking for the next one.

This is the first work for this month's theme of "Dolls".

Based on a suggestion from Josster and Boinkmeister.

I am gonna love this month

Whaaaat? She's got the limited edition stewardess Dollie too? Jealous! I love all the detail on this one...any one of the background dolls is a quality picture unto itself! And I know it probably helped save a little time on the art, but it's a great touch reusing the "Dollie" face over and over, since it adds a little creepy foreboding in the scene. (Which is perfectly in tune with the "dolls" theme this month!)

JAJAJAJAJAJA Its the exact same thought I had when I first saw the picture. "Oh wow the blue edition stewardess doll. Im so jelly."

LOVE How each doll is her own outfit and hair and everything. Fantastic job Dov.

It didn't quite save time because, the fact that it made it quicker to draw each additional Dollie character is why I wound up deciding to draw seven of them. Overall, it might have taken less time per character but the total picture took about twice as long as most of my works.

Oh, and, obviously, I feel the same way about the stewardess outfit which is why I drew it. ;)

I can definitely relate...whenever I find a way to simplify a part of a project, I invariably use the savings to introduce new stuff that takes longer than I saved. :) But the additional work you put into this really shows! Oh, and I forot to mention...I really enjoy the little touch of the well-defined seams and bare necks that suggest that the dolls can move and be posed, but in very limited doll-like ways!

I like to think that, while the Dollie's necks are always free, the shoulder and hip joints have a small catch on the back to allow them to be locked or unlocked in position as needed.

See, I was just saying to a friend that's one of the things I love about your artwork is that it always suggests a story. And like a good storyteller, you always think a little bit beyond the edges of what we see to bring in little details like this. The artwork might be just fine without them, but by incorporating these kinds of details, you've made it more immersive. Don't think it goes unnoticed! :)

I’m curious to see what the newest dollie will get dressed as
