Auto-Tailor - page 3 - Process (Patreon)

1. This page uses another three-panel layout, two close-ups and then one full-shot but in a different arrangement. Varying the panel layouts keeps the story from feeling repetitive.
2. Now I finalize the proportions of the character and rough in the machines. The panel borders are getting more irregular to create a feeling of chaos and distress.
3. Now I go in and add the final pencil work, adding final details to the environment and drawing the characters in full detail. I was very careful with the breast-growth cups, using perfect circles for the dome and narrowed circles where it meets the skin. For consistency, I copied the cups from the first panel into the third panel.
4. Then I ink everything, using a couple of different pens (one with a blunt tip, for outer edges, and one with a fine tip, for fine detail). This page uses some interesting motion lines, crossing the edges of some objects and then erasing between the lines, creating a sense of motion blur. I also tried something new with the word balloon, adding squiggly dread lines.
