Updates to My Patreon + New Podcast! (Patreon)

Long time, no see! I feel like I've said that a number of times here...which brings me to the reason for today's post. In an effort to be more active here, I'm making some changes to my Patreon reward tiers that I hope will allow me to give back to you all far better than I have.

First things first, the biggest news: starting in April, myself and my editor MrNiesGuy will make a monthly Patreon-exclusive Q&A podcast called Behind The Scope! I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to call something that. For $1+ month, you'll have access to listen to the podcast (and any previous episodes), while Patrons in the $3 or more reward tiers will have the opportunity to ask us a question we answer in the next month's episode. Questions can be on whatever you want--related to anime or not. We would like to avoid stirring up any drama or controversy with this though, so please stay away from questions that might lead to any of that (if we have any concerns regarding a certain question, we'll reach out beforehand). I'll make a post each month available to $3+ patrons, where you can comment your question (or if you wish to remain anonymous, you can DM me privately here on Patreon). More details to follow soon!

The other tiers will largely remain the same. $1+ still gets you a vote in any Backlog Bop, though schedule demands have made this more difficult for us to manage lately. We hope to get back to doing more of these in the future. The next change comes in the $30 reward tier, where I have been offering Patrons the chance to choose a video topic. I feel like this has been something of a false promise. The turnaround between the time you give me your topic and final video upload is simply too long, and that's on me. Instead, I want to offer something I can actually give you a proper return on investment for. With that, the $30 tier will now allow you to choose a podcast topic that will go on the main channel. The topic can be on a specific anime, general discussion point, or anything else you come up with! NOTE: if you already pledged to the $30 tier and messaged me about a video topic, I will still do that and will be reaching out to you shortly.

Finally, there's a special new maximum tier with the most truly priceless reward of all...
