Jack's home from college for winter break and his stepmother, Samantha, can't help but notice he's packed on some muscle in his brief time away. He tells her about how he's started to get into boxing as an exercise and could probably hold his own in an actual fight.

Samantha lets it spill that she used to box in a league years ago when Jack was just a baby... the fights weren't too competitive, she explained, and win or lose bother fighter's always had a good time ;)
