Update (Patreon)

Ok now I'm awake;

Sooooooo the last ~week was a bit of a ride that basically threw everything off course for a while, thus some things starting to roll out later than originally planned.

Biggest initial unfortunate factor was that my grandmother passed away early into the week, which combined with the general lockdown/pandemic meant that no extended family could come round to help address anything and the whole following process was up to almost solely myself and my parents, though we were narrowly able to get some help from a few church friends.

I took a few days away from then to de-stress but then we hear my brother-in-law's gotten smack hard with the sick; probably Covid, and one of my nieces is having a terrible time with anxiety stuff being super exacerbated by all the ongoing stuff, so we also had a lot of emotional energy invested in keeping tabs on my sister's family.

Then on the business end I've been navigating my way through the small business loan stuff for a while (ironically I finally got a good email on the matter shortly after I crashed earlier today) so going through proper documents and stuff was absorbing time here and there.

And then finally something actually beneficial after all that; by now you've likely seen that I did get the master archive stuff all set up and working after some fuss with links being funky on top of just the time of shuffling and organizing the archives to be more efficient and not have pieces from the same essential artworks getting sprinkled hard across multiple months like earlier ones before.

The other thing you guys may or may not've noticed that's quietly been updating on here is that the search/filter/tags system has been streamlined a fair bit.  It's taken literally a couple days of just sitting here editing individual posts (particularly basically every single post on a one-at-a-time-basis from 2018 to mid-late 2019) to bring most everything up to par. There's still a bit to go but it's about 80% of the way there now.

If any of you guys recall in mid-2019 when Patreon updated the tier system to allow things to be nuanced and separated instead of constantly stacked (lower-tiers always bundled into higher ones originally) and everyone had to re-pledge to a proper tier, usually equivalent to the old system but it meant that we could actually now control things better and also reduce how many redundant notifications go out for certain things. For Patrons, it was pretty smooth and simple to adjust, but on our end, it also means that the legacy tier system's underlying foundations are still built into the older posts until we manually update them to current standard, which also meant the filters were split up even further. 

So yeah, factoring that a few groups of posts I had to revisit in the same session to correctly get everything nice and proper, I've probably at this point edited things one-at-a-time about 1000 times now since Monday-ish.

That all said, things are getting back to normal-ish, I am anticipating contract work to hit me again by next week but by that time I'll be done with a couple other ongoing comms and then I'm mostly switching gears to more personal work and fanart for a month or two while addressing other matters on the other side so there shoooouldn't be any super-hindering problems popping up for the next while.
