A devastating week and the next episode (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

we are disgusted at the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police last week, and stand with those who have taken to the streets to both process this latest traumatic event and demand swift accountability and unequivocal systemic change.

Representatives of the music industry are proposing a blackout tomorrow. We do have to agree that it feels really inappropriate to be promoting anything other than concern for those on the ground right now. 

As a result we have chosen to share the next episode, a long and insightful conversation about Spotify with journalist Liz Pelly, with you all a day later on Wednesday, and may not publicly announce the episode until next week. This way we can keep our commitment to you, and also not bring attention to ourselves when I'm sure we can agree that attention is best placed elsewhere.

The following episode, a discussion with UBI pioneer and originator of the term "The Precariat"  Professor Guy Standing, will be posted to schedule next Tuesday.
