It's a new year and as the rumble isn't for aaaages we're going back to CLASSIQUE!

Jo's brief this month is very simple. She wants to watch the most "pivotal" WWE PPV! Vote below and let us know what brief's you'd like to see in future!

Yeah, I voted WM21 because of A) Fresh content within the wider PodCrabs Cinematic (?) Universe B) Crazy pivotal as it sets up Cena, Batista and Edge as main stars of the company going forward C) A very strong undercard D) Some weird stuff that literally only exists around that time that I want Jo’s takes on (Muhammad Hassan, Christy Hemme, Big Show in a sumo match) E) Probably the greatest ad campaign WWE ever did for WrestleMania with their series of movie parodies

21 is a forgotten classic IMO. It’s SO good

I voted WM21 for, in addition to it being a market point between eras, I want to hear Kefin's and Jo's takes on all the movie-inspired ads, Motorhead, and in particular HBK vs Angle.

When I was in college (2003), I found an unlabeled VHS copy of Royal Rumble 2000 in a clearance bin at Blockbuster Video. Since my dad didn't have cable, 90% of my entertainment when I was home on breaks was watching that tape. It's also the first episode of AE Podcast I ever listened to (because it was the one that got a writeup by the AV Club). Top five all-time PPVs, and I'd love to hear Jo's take.

If this is purely on it being pivotal, it has to be WM17. WM21 is weird because it was shaping up to be a Top 3 WM of all time but the main events sucked, which is a bummer because the undercard was absolutely fantastic

21 is a huge ppv for what wwe would become. Cena and batista were crowned Orton started being darker. They had a literal dream match with Shawn and kurt.

Got to be 21 for the fresh material 😃 Survivor Series 1997 is the bottle neck for the AE Podcast at the moment (but loving the Last Ride bonus eps!) and Royal Rumble 2000/Mania X7 already done on AE podcast.

Sublimenol

All of these would be nice. But I have to say X7. Jo's input is important, especially as how often X7 is played to be the best of the WM bunch. It's also something I want to see since the last time Kefin reviewed X7 it was a couple years ago and it'll be interesting to see shifts in his thoughts on the show.

ADLegend21

I really want to hear Jo's thoughts on WM X-7 and I can't think of a chance for her to see it other than this!

Mania 21!

Ooh, it actually took me a minute to consider Mania 21, and I was like..."oh, duh, our main eventers for the next decade." Neither one of those matches are any good, but the undercard is stellar.

21 was the first Wrestlemania I ever saw. So many fun matches: Eddie/Rey, Taker/Orton, Angle/Shawn, first MitB. Of course there was also some not great parts but I forever hold that show as a precious memory

Honestly it's just the two main events (and Big Show vs. Akebono) that don't deliver. The undercard is stacked.
